HoTShoT said:Am I the only one confused by the lack of Component cable availability? My son has a 21" HD Monitor. We have do 480p widescreen on Madden 2002 on gamecube. Basically we would be downgrading with the WII because you can't get the component cables until January. What a fiasco.
Should be available in stores mid december. Makes me kick myself for not hoarding the things.... |

My Best Buy guy just now confirmed they will have 20 Wiis on Sunday. They are in back of the store right now and are holding them for the ad. |

Hey Winsor,
I ran into a similar situation. A relative preordered one at toysRus a few weeks ago. They went to pick it up last Sunday and were told that they needed to buy 3 games and the warranty to pick it up. After arguing with them they then said only 3 games. They got the manager to come over and he said it was corporate policy. BS. I bought one the same day without having to buy 3 games.
I called corporate last Sunday to complain. I finally got a call back today. The CSR was polite. He said he'd call and speak to the store manager. The manager of course said it must've been a misunderstanding. They only offered to let you buy 3 games and save 30 bucks. Right. I was on speakerphone when they asked the second time and heard them distinctly say it was corporate policy to require 3 games.
I suggest you call corporate and complain too. These stores shouldn't be able to force us to buy additional stuff.

I was told by my Best Buy earlier in the week that they were going to run an ad stating they would have min. 12 per store starting next Sunday for the Wii. This sounds about right. |

i plan to go maybe 1 hour ahead of opening. I'll bring something to do and its worth the time to make sure I get one for a gift before christmas. |

They are shipping Wii's every week, you'll definitely get one before Christmas (150-200k/week). I may try to go early but I'm seriously over the whole 'wait in line for a Wii' deal - it'll pain me to see them fully stocked on shelves in a couple weeks. |

I was also thinking an hour before opening (9am opening, right?), but it seems the news of the BB shipment is getting bigger, more people know....longer lines...sigh |

I have a friend whose wife works at Best Buy. She said their store has 62 and opens at 10 tomorrow. Hoping I can showup just before they open and get one, seems like good odds. |

Eek, just heard a couple people are camping out at a BB in Orlando, FL, when asked why someone (BB employee? camper? Not sure...) said "We can't say." Unless there's some smoking hot BB deal I haven't heard of, I'm assuming they are in line for a Wii. |

Hopefully I can get a couple tomorrow.... AND hopefully the eBay market doesn't bottom out with the new batch infused into the market. |

Just got back from my Best Buy (Princeton, NJ). They haven't even closed, and already there are about 10+ people waiting in line outside with lawn chairs and such. |

Anyone know When BB opens Sunday in Mass? I called there 2 times tonight and they never answered the phone. The generic phone message said 11AM, but I know its different during the holidays. |
