Anyone know if they will have Wii remotes and wii nunchucks?

Did any best buy stores have wii remote controllers?

I got hosed at BB. The last ticket went to the person 2 ahead of me.

Best Buy out here in Valley Stream, NY got around 60. Got my lucky #23 and showed up one hour before. The guy in front of me did not want the wii so I got #22. No component cables. Didn't ask for the nunchucks or controlers. Have a bunch. Got Zelda and they had only 10 copies.

BB in Beavercreek, Ohio got 50 in. I was there way late because I had the youngster. Apparently the line was thirty deep at 6am.

It wasn't as much of a rush here. I went to BB in Atlanta GA about 45 minutes before the store opened and got one of the 42 they received. Though, there were a few people with lawn chairs and blankets that waited a lot longer.

There actually is, depending on how lucky you feel. There's the 12% off Rewards coupon that, AFAIK, no one has yet to try on a console (so that might work though it's unlikely). You have a better chance using a $40 off $199 at Circuit City, but that entails actually finding the unit in stock at CC... which is unlikely as well. You could sign up for a credit card at Microcenter and get $100 off the purchase of the Wii and a game, but again, no stock. Finally, you can try to get BB to honor the $40 off $199 CC coupon, but frankly, I have trouble getting them to honor their own policies as is.

I'm an avid deal hunter, but I paid full retail ($360 + tax) for a Wii, a game, and an extra controller. If you're worried that it's not worth the money, don't be -- to me, it's worth every penny I spent.

Considering most of the world is paying over the odds to get one, getting up 5 hours before opening and getting in line to have the opportunity to buy one, AND buying bundles full of crappy games just to get one, I'm thinking your chances of getting a discount (unless you have a % off coupon and happen to luck out and get in line and snag one AND they let you use it) are somewhere around .0000001%. Best Buy in Corpus Christi got 51, they said on their phone announcement that they opened at 9. They opened at 10, instead. I overslept and rolled up at 9:45... and got a ticket! I was 31! . The first person in line had camped all night. The woman in front of me had stood there since 7:45. I got LLLLLLLLLLLLLUCKY! Then, went over to TRU and they had 'em but weren't selling as they didn't have two games in stock and wouldn't give rainchecks. They had some very very pissed folks. They did have a ton of Elmo TMX in stock (1 per customer... WTF!? I have more kids in my family than that!)

I got mine for $210 at Circuit City! ($40 off $199+ purchase at CC)

Ordered the big bundle from WalMart. Got a note that they canceled part of the order. I guess they cant get any more "Red Steels" or "Zelda".

Good news maybe for those suckers (like me) who paid $648.00 for a bundle.

Leave the console to those that actually want to play it -- it'll help those that are hunting for it and save you the trouble of selling something that's not worth your time.

Where exactly are these consoles selling for "+$30 retail, if that"? The lowest ones that eBay shows as having completed in the past 40 minutes or so were $370 - $375. Some are still going for upwards of $450.
If you look at the completed listings, there are a lot of auctions that ended with zero bids. Those would be the ones that were below the expected margins of the reseller. The reason you don't see too many actually selling for +$30 is because resellers refuse to sell at that price point, so they end the auction and state that either the item is no longer available, that there was an error in the listing, etc.
