Anyone know where the originals can be had?
eBay, I bought a few for some friends, and most Lowes will accept competitor coupons. |

Green14 Thanks for the coupon. Didn't think they'd be making 20% off coupons without bar codes after last year's abuses with the employee bonus holiday coupon. I used last years three times for about $600 in saving and distributed it to freinds all over the country.
If people are having trouble with it being accepted try printing it on glossy broucher weight paper. You can get it at any office supply store and it quickly pays for itself in saving via printed coupons. |

They need to for all the people they pissed off on the real black friday. They put a grill on hold for me because I was coming from an hour away, and then they sold it to someone else before I got there because they had come from the same town (cause, obviously there'd only be one resident living here, you know) and then tried to send me to the next store another hour and a half away to get a grill that wasn't even in stock, and THEN said they'd sell me the 5burner for the same price as the 4burner but then changed their mind and said they'd do the 3burner instead (not a deal at all.. small and crappy) but it was at the store another hour and a half away. Moral of my story/rant.. shop at Lowes instead! They sold me a better brand of grill, pretty much the exact same specs (but more BTU/grill area) for the same price and even searched all over the state to find it for me because they didn't carry it in store! Screw Home Depot.
However, if you decide you MUST shop there, at least screw them by using THIS COUPON good through April something (7th?) 2007 for 20% off your entire purchase (very few exclusions). Enjoy.
Thats funny because I got screwed the same way with you on the grill. Atleast they thought about giving you the 5 burner as an option then they took it away from you. My HD didn't even think about it and I asked for something close or better and yet they offered me this stupid 3 burner unit as well. Oh well, they did offer to make a special order for that grill for 199.00 and the next one that comes in will be mine for that price. You mention that there was a grill that you got a Lowes that day. Which one was it and how do you like it so far? I'm in a need of a replacement grill for the one I have right now. Let me know if you can please so I could do some reseach on the grill that you got. thanks!
Oh and regards to that 20% coupon, I'm reading it and it states that its only good in "specific" HD locations. Theres a list of the stores but of course non of the ones I go to....
The grill I ended up getting from Lowes was the Charbroil 4-burner all stainless steel grill, with a side burner. BTU is 50,000 and I *think* the grilling area was 660sq in. It's a Christmas gift for my parents (my dad wants a Charbroil) and after looking at the similar one at Lowes (they had the same one in stock but it wasn't all stainless steel) it's much heavier (as far as the lid) and just looks like such a better quality grill. You can see it on the Lowes website if you search for 4-burner charbroil. It looks exactly like that (the all stainless steel with side burner) but doesn't have the side handle that one shows. Mine's a different sku 141116. The one on the website I believe is the new model coming out. They had to search everywhere to find mine to bring in. I took the 20% off coupon to Lowes and used that on my purchase, but haven't picked the grill up yet as the box is pretty much as big as my Cavalier. But yeah, my dad had mentioned he liked Charbroil before they knew I was getting them one, so I'd imagine it's a good brand.. my dad is a huge pain in the arse with that stuff!
EDIT: The grill I bought was $349 regularly, clearanced (all their grills are right now.. or atleast 90% of them) to $279.. PM'ed to $199 (bought this last week mind you, had to reconvince someone else to PM it cause the manager who OKed it BF night wasn't there) then couponed it down to $169. Great deal! Even though the Charbroil is cheaper than the Charmglow regularly (CG is $399) I think the CB is much better quality.. I took a magnet to the CG in the HD store and it pretty much stuck to the entire base and the flat sides where the burner is and the other side so looks can be deceiving, it's not all SS and it was showing rusting even in the store. I feel much better with the Charbroil! |

I posted about this earlier....there are alot of HD coupons circulating around eBay and other auction sites do not get caught up in this scam. These coupons have been either altered or manufactured from a scan and most HD will not honor them one guy I met was scammed for $30 and he was out the money plus no discount as always YMMV but wouldn't try it. |

When I got to the HD in NJ on BF the manager told me that the TV's were already gone (shocked since I got there when it opened and nobody was in line). Then one of the employees advised me "wink" that that they were taken quickly (both pre-sale and employees). The manager then said that there would be a BFII before Christmas and thought the LCD's would be in stock again.
I did get the gorilla ladder though and it is awesome, as well as the drill bits and the shopvac. They were all great deals. |

You won't be worrying about the $30 you lost when you're facing criminal charges for committing fraud against the 2nd largest retailer in the country. Please do not try to say that using fraudulent, altered coupons is not fraud that is punishable by law. Just my two cents. It's too easy to make/save money above the table than to get involved with coupon fraud. |

Right, because printing a coupon from a given link is fraud. You caught us. The coupon was not altered in any way. It worked fine for me at BOTH HD and Lowes. Don't use it if you don't want to, just don't come crying when you pay full price for something you could use a legitimate coupon for. |

I guess you can try to play dumb and believe that Home Depot hosts free coupon images on external sites, but it may not stand up in front of a jury. Just because they worked in the past does not mean it's ok or that you should make a habit of it. People get so defensive when I point out that coupon manipulation is fraud. I don't know what else to tell you. I'll send you a 50% off Home Depot coupon, valid through 2010 if you like. Just need to photoshops it up for you. |

Actually it is photoshopped. The original coupons expired on 4/30/06. They have been edited to say 4/30/07. When this expires, someone will photoshop a new date. Wait and see. It also says void if copied. I don't know how you convince yourself that an altered employee-only coupon being scanned, distributed, and printed is NOT copying. For arguments sake let's pretend that it is not altered; it's still copied.
To everyone else, yes I know arguing on the internet is pointless. My advice to anyone who is reading this is to play it safe and stick to using real coupons.
Take the people selling ink-jet printed coupons on eBay. Sure they have a 100% money back guarantee in case they DON'T work. What do you mean in case they DON'T work? Use REAL coupons and they WILL work. Find some REAL coupons on eBay and you'll see the higher price that they go for. Why? Because they are more valuable; they are REAL; they WORK. Sure, sometimes these fake 20% off coupons work, but try to use it on a large ticket item. I don't know about you but I am not going to embarrass myself by being denied a coupon code over saving $18 (or whatever amount) only to have to return home and request my $2.99 back from an eBay seller. I can't speak for everyone out there, but my time has SOME value. Sure, they'll send you the $2.99 back; it only cost them $.04 to print it for you. |

You are the one guy on this thread I will let complain if some minimart owner tells you there is a minimum $5 purchase to use a credit card. Because, as many FW's note, the minimart owner is "breaking the agreement he signed with Visa/MC". |

I'm going to have to side with CptSavAHo on this one. The purpose of FW is to find and share LEGITIMATE deals and discounts with the FW community. Everyone has their own moral compass - you might get it for free if you're brave enough to stroll out the front door without paying!
I just got the PS3 from CC.com (courtesy of FW) and there is a link in the FW thread to a $50 GC from entertainment.com - I was going to pass since I'm not an entertainment.com customer. I went to the site and checked it out and remembered that I got a free 1 year entertainment.com account from.... (anyone? anyone? Buehler? Buehler?) FATWALLET!!!!! So I got my PS3 AND I legitimately can claim the $50 GC - Man, I love this site!!! |

I use to work at Homey. The coupons they give you are printed on basically a piece of cardboard. If someone comes in with their little inkjet printed paper they are going to know it's fake..Then on top of that, you never see strangers using them. You see the people you work WITH using them. You don't need to go around throwing names (idiot) either because you were burned. Don't you find it funny how your link no longer works? Now move on..you wanted to purchase a grill on BLACK FRIDAY and expected it to be held for you..Who do you think you are? Queen or something? It sucks you drove a long way, but oh well..Get over it, grow up, and move on. |
