My mom needs to take Schiff Move Free Joint Strengthener Triple Strength gel caps. I need to buy her a year supply for her Christmas gift.

Vitacost.com sell 80 gel caps for $25.69. One year supply is over $200.

Anybody has any idea where to find those cheap? Does costco sell those?

She's worth any penny of those and more. So I want to buy from quality products but don't want to overpay.

Thanks in advance.

Costco does have Schiff Move Free, but I don't remember what strength. Also Longs Drugs (if you live near one) has all Move Free 50% off this week.

Thanks frugalpete. I don't live close to Long drugs and their online store don't have sale items. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif" border=0>

I will check out Costco tonight.

Thank you so much.

Would this be the lowest? I checked froogle two days ago and price was very hight.

Sam's club has Move Free green box 135ct for $23.95 and red box 140ct for $21.85.

CVS and Walgreens frequently have them on sale for buy one and get one free. Each box is 80-90ct and cost around $30. But you could print 2 $5 coupons from smartsource.com so after buy one get one free sale and using 2 $5 coupons, you get 2 boxes for around $20.

These aren't the triple strength versions, which can be hard to find. They're also not gel caps; they're coated tablets.

Also, retailers don't usually let you use 2 coupons when you're also buying-one-getting-one-free. (That's the "cannot be combined with other offers" part of their small print.) Or they take the $5 off *before* they give it to you free... so you just wasted a coupon.

Thanks Chinyxub, I will check out Sam's club and CVS.

doerrb, you must be an expert on this. Do you think the gel caps are better than coated tablets and if so, how much better?

Costco has their own brand with an identical formula that's an even better deal. It's capsules -- don't think it makes a difference.

Not an expert by any stretch of the imagination <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border=0> , but I have taken a form of this stuff before (the kind with another supplement / additive that they no longer sell), so I know how confusing it can be to stare at a wall full of bottles that all *appear* to be the same, but that are priced all over the map. You really have to know *exactly* what you want, in what dosage & form, before you approach the OTC drug aisle. (No wonder they put the asprin right next to this stuff! It's enough to cause a headache all on its own.)

As for gel caps vs. tablets, for the most part it's a personal preference. Some people find that one form is less harsh to their stomachs and/or absorbs the active ingredient faster / better. You'd be best off deferring to your mom's preference (unless she really doesn't have one) in choosing which to buy for her.

Finally, it never hurts to check eBay. Two things to be *very* careful about there are (1) calculating the TOTAL cost to you, including shipping, and (2) making sure the stuff you buy isn't expired. If the seller hasn't listed the expiration date (or "sell by" / "best by" date) in the description, make sure to write him/her and ask about it *before* you bid.

Phew! And good luck! It's a jungle out there... <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border=0>

A quick update: Costco has the best price, it's even cheaper than CVS buy one get one free. I got the new red box move free advanced one, it's newer and they claim it's twice as effecitive as triple strength.

Thanks for your generous help, mom will have her supplement and less joint pain.

Merry Chirstmas.
