I just jumped on to Scooba deal Scooba + 401 for $289. People were suggesting to use HammacherSchlemmer.com for same price but only scooba. I didn't think the lifetime warranty from H&S justify loosing second robot. Again i used AMEX blue which is supposedly double manufacturers warranty period.
Should i cancel Irobot deal and go with Hammacher for lifetime warranty ? I haven't owned any Robo before so i am not sue which direction is correct
Using AMEX will double your warranty, and AMEX is extremely easy to deal with if you ever need to use the extended warranty, so you will definitely be covered for 2 years.
Hammacher is excellent when dealing with for returns, way better than dealing with iRobot, which has been experiencing frequent delays recently when dealing with warranty replacement.
It's really a question of whether you feel that extended warranty is worth the additional value of the entry level Roomba 401.
