I'm officially retiring this forum to dedicate my full attention to helping people on my blog (free of charge as always). If you need car prices, take your questions to my blog AutoBragBlog and I'd be happy to help you
I've been helping people save money on FW for over 3 years. I basically look for new and used cars by posting how much they are going for or any deals being offered on the internet by a dealership. So if you're buying or selling, I'll give you the real numbers. Go to my blog www.autobragblog.com and be sure to have the following info. to provide...
Year: Make: Model: 2WD or 4WD? 4C or V6? Auto or Manual? Trim: (give as much detail as possible here) Mileage: VIN: Buying or Selling? From Private Party or From A Dealership?
Be sure to leave an email address because I will email the answer to you as soon as I pull up prices! If there's no address, the question is automatically deleted.

lala,
Edmunds gives you the TMV (true market value) but does not offer the specific price that dealers are selling their cars for and where to get them. Give me a new car you are looking for and I'll show you what I mean.

what was the mileage, model (4 cylinder or 6) All wheel drive or two wheel drive, and what trim?
Depending on these factors I can tell if it was a good, great, or not so ok deal

thats for a coupe not for a sedan. Its a nice car with good pep and handling
I assume these prices are the dealer/wholesale auction prices from Maneheim market report (MMR)? If so, they are a nice baseline but not prices that average consumers can get. The best a consumer can do is have a friend with a dealers license accompany them to an auction, and pay their friend $500 cash if they buy a car there.

Actually, non sales people cannot go to the auctions (most of the good ones anyway). I agree they are not prices most people can get but its nice to know what the wholesale/dealer prices are to figure out if it is a good deal or not.
If anyone is serious about buying a used car PM me and I'll see what we can do.
MrNovember said: Since this thread has been killed by the OP, I was wondering if I could jack it and briefly ask a question:
I was shopping for a Honda today and a dealership wanted to sell me a "new" car that already had 190 miles on it. They claim it was a trade with another dealership that was driven here from another state. Is this normal practice? Or is this car basically a demo/test drive car that has been driven hard? Advice, please!
