While this thread is for all C0nnect3D products and rebates, it is now primarily discussing the C0nnect3D 1Gb ($30 rebate) and 2Gb SD cards ($50 rebate) sold by 8uy.com in late January and early February 2007.
C0nnect3D is now OUT OF BUSINESS. 8uy.com says they are aware of this now.
Call 8uy.com at 1-800-800-0800 or 949-389-2402 to speak with a CSR and/or write to them by clicking on the customer service link and request they step up to the plate and take responsibility to pay the C0nnect3D rebates or provide you with an RMA number so that you return your C0nnect3D products for a refund.

SUMMARY
Buy.com advertised and sold Connect 3D products with a Buy.com after rebate price, or a "Buy.com Total Price $0.00." Rebate request forms sent through the USPS mail, were not paid. Buy.com refused to accept returns of the products even though they were not as Buy.com had advertised.
Dispute the outcome of closed BBB complaints. Call the BBB at (909) 835-6064. If you don't do this, the BBB assumes the complaint was resolved satisfactorily and gives Buy.com a good report.
Lot of people's whose rebates were rejected had called parago and got the rebate approved over the phone, did any of those people get their rebate checks at all. I am in the same boat as OP. I received a letter saying that the rebate was invalid. Checked the online status and I am seeing the same message.
Don't panic just yet - at least at the time being - if your Connect3D rebates were sent to Connect3D itself in San Jose, CA. The $30 rebate (on Connect3D 1GB SD card from Office Depot) processed by Parago is totally a different story.
Yes, I just saw the message for my $30 rebate for a 1gb SD card purchased at TechDepot/OfficeDepot....processed by Parago. It was valid and scheduled for final processing.
ddyourself said:shoot! I have a $50 rebate for a 2gb SD card mailed to some CA place, haven't heard anything back yet. Looks like a tough fight ahead.the one through Buy.com was mailed directly to Connect3D, not to parago. but yes, there *may* be a fight ahead of us.
My status "was" being scheduled for final processing after I called them a few weeks ago. Now it has switched over to the OP's msg. Has anybody received this rebate yet? Has anybody called the wintergreen and gotten any answers?
Should we be writing the Attorney Generals Office & the Better bBsiness Bureau in Indiana? Doesn't this consitute FRAUD? Did anyone get an email about this? I just checked the status of the rebate and saw the info below.
awestun said:this is NOT good news for ANY c0nnect3d rebates:
people that did the 0D parago rebate now have a status that says:
Please be advised: Parago, Inc. is a provider of rebate processing services for its clients. As a rebate processor, Parago works on behalf of Wintergreen Systems to receive mail, perform data entry services, receive customer service calls, print checks, and perform other services associated with its promotions. For the submission in question, Parago performed data entry on the submission, and forwarded the information to Wintergreen Systems for approval and funding. To date, Parago has not received such approval and funding from Wintergreen Systems. Until Wintergreen Systems forwards additional funding for the promotion in question to Parago, Parago will not be able to mail any additional consumers checks under the promotions. We apologize for any frustration this has caused, and will process the reward as soon as we are provided the required funding and approval by Wintergreen Systems. I e-mailed Wintergreen Systems (rebates@wintergreensys.com) and received this canned reply:
We have received your email. We will be working with RebatesHQ to verify your rebate status as they retained all rebate submissions and operated the status website. When we are able to verify your rebate status Wintergreen Systems will honor your rebate by processing a check within 3 weeks. Please be advised due to the number of requests we are receiving we will not be able to contact you unless there are any problems with your rebate.
Thank you.
Wintergreen Systems
Hope this offers at least a faint glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel.
Let's hope so! When did you have to submit your forms by? The comment on my submission said they were working with Pargo. Are Pargo & RebatesHQ the same processing company?
