I switched from Vonage to Vitelity 3 months ago and their service seems good. It's $1.49/month for an inbound number plus 1.39 cents per minute. You do need your own telephone adapter. Vitelity |

I would expect SunRocket will sell their customer base to someone else. I assume it has some value. Everyone may not get their full sunrocket terms, but I would guess there will be some sort of reasonable offer. I'm on my 8th month of a one-year for $99 with SunRocket, so I'm not hurting too bad. Vitelity looks promising, since I don't make a lot of phone calls. |

Abbygrace clearly said 1.39 cents per minute. Do not interpret it as $1.39. To correct your math it is $.0139. Vitelity GASP...... $1.39 minute... is this 1988? My Runrocket service is working perfectly.... |

Jeep4JBStill said:I'm a current ViaTalk customer and have been happy for the most part with the service. I would mention however that I have had nothing but problems with faxing. I know they don't support it and all but I thought I'd throw that out there in case someone was wanting to be able to fax as well! I have ViaTalk too and used a DSL filter for Fax. I don't use Fax all that often and never set it in receive mode. It seemed to work just fine when I was sending the fax. |

This is why you never prepay 2 years + of anything, especially a new startup company.... |

I remember the old sunrocket threads, there were a couple haters and fanboys going at it non stop in every single thread.... Guess the haters were right. |

Thanks OP. I had no idea this was going on. I haven't watched the plans or companies in the last couple of years cause I have been happy with my $10 Sunrocket plan. Anyone know any other similar deals out there. I saw the ViaTalk but it looks like it requires a 24 month commitment to get the $9.95 deal. |

I am kind of concerned that everyone that works in chat support is named Brooke. Brooke: Hello, how may I assist you? you: What is the contract buyout and are you carrying any deals for current subscribers for sunrocket? Brooke: It is $199 for a year of service with an additional 3 months for free you: So what is the contract buyout? Brooke: and then at the end of that time we will also add any prepaid time that you may have left with Sunrocket. you: I had a 2year for $199 that I just started in March. So how much time will I get after my first year credited and for how long are you going to run this offer? Brooke: You would get up to 12 months of credit you: Is there a time limit on this offer? you: Also, what about the number portability from Sunrocket? Brooke: It is a limited time offer, but it should be available for the next week or so. you: Also, is there any code to avoid the activation fee? Brooke: No, there is not unfortunately. you: What about phone number porting from Sunrocket? Brooke: We don't offer a 100% guarantee on number porting. Since Sunrocket did recently close, we are not sure if they are just going to drop the numbers or what. Brooke: So I can't really make any guarantee on the porting, you: OK. Thank you Brooke: No problem, have a great day! Chat session has ended. |

QUICKAVE said:just dispute charge with cc if SR is outofbiz as this is an ongoing service for which was paid for in advance.. no problem To reverse the charge there has to be someone at the other end to pay the money back to the CC company. If they are gone of business, the CC company is not likely to eat the charge. You authorized it, it is not like they stole your card number and used it to by porn or something. Dennis |

Sunrocket rewards...ha ha ha! They will be picked up by another company for the customer base or trade your contract for free months at another carrier. MODS PLEASE KEEP THIS OPEN. NOT losing money is just as valuable as saving money. |
