Sounds like Friday was a big day for checks arriving. Got my $126.99. That brings my total on my 50" Panasonic plasma down to $$1231, with sales tax. What a great deal this turned out to be |

I also received my check today for $166 & change. Also nice to see the $10 off on my Sears statement for getting the card. It seems that the Sears employees were really not prepped for this sale. I was told no rebates were going to be given and no $10 CC sign up bonus. |

Be aware of Sears rebate shenanigans. All three of my rebates were rejected (maybe because I got my Samsung 5044 for $900 before 2 rebates), but if you call Sears customer service, they will honor the rebates. |

I bought in store the Panasonic 42" 1080p Plasma and a Sony 5.1 Theater so I could get the Football promotion. They took $100 (or $150) off the TV for the Football promotion. The Sony stereo was marked down to $250.00 (from regular $299). I spent quite awhile with the sales lady and the floor manager to finally get this deal: $1089.00 Panasonic 42" 1080p Plasma $250.00 Sony Theater $65.00 Delivery $98.00 TAX ($100) Football Promotion instant savings took off price of the TV ($25) 10% Sale Credit instant savings (was supposed to be the 5% VIP I suppose) ($52.50) 10% special event instant savings ($65) Football Promotion free delivery rebate check arrived last week ($120) 10% F&F special event rebate check arrived last week ($10) first purchase on Sears Card ------- $1129.50 including TAX for the Panasonic 42" 1080p Plasma and Sony Theater Plus, I had a coupon that I had found in an FW thread for a free remote control ($100 price tag). A few weeks later I called up the credit department and they gave me one year interest free to pay it off. (they said any time I want to make a large purchase to just ask for it and the salesman will give me one year interest free) Now I'm just waiting on the 10 free Pizzas rebate from the Football promotion. Hope it comes in time for the Super Bowl (and hope my Dallas Cowboys are playing) Thanks OP and thanks FW!! |

I got both of my rebate checks - one for $150 (football promo) and the other for $180 (10% for using Sears card). I ordered online the Samsung 46" LCD (4665), got 5% off at the time, 5% FatCash, and the two rebates - total with tax was right around $1475. -DC |

People still can't believe the prices we paid on this deal. Someone I work with is looking at the panny 42pz77u and is ready to buy it for $1399, a "great price" according to him. LOL I just got a snail mail ad from Sears that looks like it went out to anyone who bought during the Football promotion. It extends on that theme just in time for the Big Game (Patriots vs. Giants). There are 2 coupons, 10% off any DVD player or home audio system, and another good for 15% off "all home theater accessories". Both have things not eligible for the discount, like DVDs, video games and systems, CDs, introductory offers, clearance and special offer items. If anyone can find a great deal using these coupons then the Great 2007 Sears football TV promotion will truly be the gift that keeps on giving. My first impression, though, is that these coupons don't automaticaly mean a killer deal on anything. EDIT: The reason I think the Giants will be in it is that the night of the Friends & Family sale back in November, the Giants were getting beat by the Cowboys. More people were standing around in Sears watching that game than were actually shopping for TVs. We saw what the Giants did last weekend. It's fate IMO tied to this deal. |

My final price on the TH-50PX75U ended up being $1231. I was stoked to run across the deal. I had just about decided to buy a regular old 36" Sony tube tv to get me by. I would have been kicking myself for that one But the minute I thought it could get no better on that particular tv, it did. At least for my mom and others just before Christmas. It looked like it was setting up to be a great deal. I walked her through it and she ended up getting the same Panasonic for $1090 once the FatCash arrives I'm not complaining about my deal, but she stole hers And I hope you are right about the Giants! |

87hp, glad you and your mom got seriously good deals. Superbowl 42: Giants 17, Patriots 14 I told you so. Again. Thank you Sears for a wonderful NFL season! As for the fans of Green Bay and overrated Brett Favre, and the lowlife Cowboy fans of everywhere, tough luck, chumps. You lose. |

I'll be very curious to see if the football promotion returns in the fall. And if the effective dates change to avoid VIP night. I hang out in AVS Forum alot and subscribe to the board for the TV I got (Samsung 5044). Anyway, there have been some minor to moderate issues with these sets, but lots of people have been willing to put up with the hassles of repair because they "got such a great deal on it," which almost always is in the $1200-$1300 range. It warms my heart every time. |
