I think you would have better luck signing up for a card in the store. You get an account immediately. If you sign up online it may take a few weeks for you to get a card and you will miss the sale.

Good luck!

Im planning on signing up for a Sears card tonight online. Im very interested in the Samsung 46 1080p or the 61 1080p. I want to use the 0% for 18months if that is avail. I believe it was either Cash Back or the 0%, but not both from what I read? Am I correct or would I still see the $150 off the 46" and still be able to use the 18 0%? Those prices are only for the 6-9pm correct? I cannot go any earlier?

Thanks
Dave

I went by my local Sears to take a look at the 42" LG Plasma yesterday, and I'm rather impressed. I'll definitely be picking it up if I can indeed get it for the $675 price. In the first post it mentions that the original price of that particular TV is $900, although it was $1100 in the store, maybe it will change before Sunday?

The customer service rep I asked about the sale had no clue about any of the details, beyond being able to confirm that there is some sort of sale Sunday, between 6 and 9.

Juiced46: yes, its the no interest (18 months for the 46, 24 months for the 61') or the Cash Back.

I updated the first post to implement some suggestions and include some of the new information that has come to light. I also tried to organize the information better.

I would ask that people looking for model numbers simply consult either the BF ad scans or the VIP ad scans, both of which were at least alluded to in previous posts.

More thanks to jmoney48 for the insane amount of question answering he's doing. Thankfully I don't have to bother with that because I don't have any inside info anyway.

Glad to see so many enjoying the thread...both here and over at the SD rip

Thanks thats what I thought it was.

One last question. Do you know what model Samsung that is for the 46" 1080p? The OP shows the starting price @ $2000. The one Im looking at,Sears site only lists 2 model. Is $2500. Its the 4665F model

Thanks again
Dave

Any Sears guys that would be willing to tell me what the Sammy 4071, 4671 or Sony XBR would be on Friday?

I don't know about the 60inch but the 50inch is on sale for BF. It's listed in Sears' ad, it is a Friday and Saturday deal not a doorbuster.

The TV in the ad is the KDF-50A3000, which is LCD projection. Dang, I really wish there were an SXRD on sale with these discounts.

Oops your right. Though it is actually the E3000 which makes it the LCD projector.

Needed some help. I was looking at getting a TV get don't really need it until Jan 08. Would it make sense getting one at this deal or waiting until BF or after christmas?

I want to get a TV, and I don't have the Sears card yet. I'm going to apply for one in store on the 11th. I want to get the $150/$250 Cash Back, but the problem is I'm not sure what credit limit I would be approved for. Say, suppose I want to buy a TV of $1000, but I only got approved for a Sears card of $500, can I still get the $150/$250 Cash Back?
Thanks

I'm in the market for this exact same TV. I know that it is on sale right now - $2199 regular price and sale price of $2089 (5% less). I don't know if this will still be on sale on Sunday. Here's the breakdown as I see it for this TV:

Regular Price on Sunday: $2199 less 5% less $250 less 10% = $1655.15
Sale Price on Sunday: $2089 less 5% less $250 less 10% = $1561.10

Either way it is an excellent deal. Not as good as some got with the Fry's sale then pricematched at Sears with $250 off, but that seemed very YMMV.

Here's hoping it is still on sale!

Quick question for those in the know:

I am looking at buying 2 different TVs this Sunday at the F&F sale. Will I be able to get all the discounts/promotions if I buy 2 TVs? Specifically - if I use my Sears card for each purchase will I get the 5%, x$$ off, and 10% MIR for each TV?

Thanks so much!

Juiced46: its probably the cheaper model.
bydalian: u would have to buy $500 in gift cards w/ another credit card or cash and then use them and put the rest on ur Sears card. apply for the "Sears charge plus" its for major purchases (appliances, etc) so they give you a higher credit limit. yes you will still get the 150/250 off.
vorpel: yes, regardless how many tv's u buy, u still get the same promotional discounts. you will just have to do multiple transactions.

can you do self promotion on SD like in your signature or something? this might sound bad or whatever, but i wanna get something out of this :X (like some customers). i will go hide in shame now.

jmoney, thanks for taking the time to post all of this, but i do have 2 questions.

1. i went to Sears, and the only 50 samsung plasmas they had were the t5054 models, NOT the 5044 models. does this mean im pretty much outta luck, since the tv isnt carried in the store?

2. do i need to have a Sears card now? or can i apply for one on the day of the sale? are there any hidden fees or crazy interest rates on the Sears card?

call your local store and ask them if they can order it. and what day it will be there. have the item number ready so they can punch it into the register. find the item number on Sears.com

I am looking to buy a 1080p HD LCD TV in the size range of 40" - 42" (room is too small for anything larger than 42"). Which TV would you recommend as the best deal for the F&F sale? I am looking at

Samsung 40", LN-T4061F http://www.Sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_12605_05771067000P

or

Sharp 42", LC42D64U http://www.Sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_12605_05771195000P

I am not sure what the difference is between them, except that the Samsung is a little smaller but still $50 more expensive than the Sharp at the current sale price on Sears.com.

Advices? Thanks!

The Samsung 5044 isn't online either. Nobody I talked to can even figure out how they're going to sell it.

I will tell you, I have a sharp aquos 32 inch and it is AMAZING. The picture quality surprises me even though i've had it for 9 months. Another cool thing is that all of the settings are input independant... For example, you have your XBOX on HDMI 1 and your Satellite on HDMI 2....if the color on your receiver is off and you change it, it won't change it for HDMI 1. The volume is the same, so if you want to switch to a dvd player or something it will remember the volume and not wake people up in your house.

Check the avs forums about the Sharp, many complain of 'banding' issues - I've seen photos that users have posted, so when I've been looking I walk right past the Sharp TV's - Its a shame, because we do have a smaller Sharp LCD here that has been very good. I've really liked the Sammy's in my shopping so far, thought haven't paid much attention to the 4061, been more looking at the 71 series. Good luck!

From what I've read, it looks like the Sharp banding issues were definitely present but more prominent with the xxx62 series and have been largely corrected with the xxx64 series. I could be wrong but that seems to be what many reviewers have said that I've checked online.
