JassieB said:This is the first year in 5 years where they didn't put on sale any of the Simpsons DVD sets. *sigh* Anyone else miss this? I had bought 2 simpsons seasons last year at target . No one watched them until recently. I went into target last week and all the seasons they had in stock were $19.99 , which is the cheapest I could find to buy locally on short notice. |

DaveNetMan said:Someone told me that with Target's 'price protection' policy, you don't have to wait until BF to get these deals. You can just buy the item now, then on BF, take your receipt in and get a refund for the price difference (since it went on sale within 30 days). I think he said you have to actually go in on BF to due this, but standing in Customer Service line beats standing in the checkouts at 6am. Anyone know if this is actually true? I thought Target's price protection was for 14 days from date of purchase. |

The 22" monitor is a good deal. 22" monitors seem to be showing up in a lot of bf deals. It seems this year is pretty mediocre. I can't say I am surprised the dollar has tanked and gas prices keep rising how can retailers offer the super deals of the past?
I think we will see that electronics will be going down in less than in the past. |

The 500GB HD at $87 is a solid price. Cheapest 500GB I see online through Pricegrabber is 117 (though you can discount w/ GCO, etc). Of course, I wouldn't bother unless I'm picking up other stuff at the store that morning. |

500gb HDDs were down around $99 after rebate for a long time this summer. I think the dollar's relative weakness is really hurting BF sales right now since so many electronics are imported. |

I picked up this panel about 4-5 months ago for $688.00 at Target, the best deal at the time and probably the best ANYWHERE since then. The closest they've ever come to that price since then is $699.00 (for one week only) and much more commonly, it's been in the $750 to $799.00 range.
I actually saw this set for $576 on sale at Fry's about 4 or 5 months ago.
I'm not saying it's a horrible deal (it's pretty good) but it's really disappointing for me.
I thought this set could go for as low as $499 (given what I saw)... oh well, then again, it's Target. Do they really focus their sales on TVs?...
MicroCenter had a 37" Olevia LCD HDTV for $499 AR on black friday LAST YEAR! I got the 42" for $799 last year...plus there was an extra $100 off if you signed up for their credit card.
Archived Again, just like the guy earlier claiming to have recalled a Fry's 37" Olevia deal for cheaper, your MC deal was for a 37" monitor ("hd ready"), not a television w/ tuner built in like the one upcoming at Target. I win again. |

I called another this morning (which was actually closer to my home), and they seem to have plenty.... Headed over, was in out in minutes.... picked up the HDD , and one of the $9.88 1GB memory sticks as well

I debating whether or not to keep my Element drive. |
