Where is a link to the cheapest Dell laptop...every link I click takes me to a $709 one? Can I buy this online friday...?

im gonna try for the compaq @ Staples too. found the specs, and appears that 1G RAM is max - or they are silly in what they post for specs

I see that the laptop uses Intel GMA X3100 graphics core which is included in both GM965 chipset and GL960 chipset. As I studied the chipset family datasheet, I noticed the following difference:

GM965 chipset -

• Support for DDR2 at 667MHz and 533MHz
  
• Max memory supported: 4GB
  
• Support for Intel Core2 Duo and Celeron processors

• Support for DDR2 at 533MHz only
  
• Max memory supported: 2GB
  
• Support for Intel Celeron processor

Well, you almost solved it. T2310 is a Pentium Duo and is clocked at 533MHz, so it only needs to use GL960 chipset -- and you want to guess which one HP ended up putting in their lowest priced model?

In any event, the Sony laptop that BB is selling is doing the same T2310/GL960 combo, so on the chipset/CPU/memory side the Compaq and Sony are the same, and both supports up to 2 GB memory.

i was planning to buy a lap top too this thanksgiving but when i got shopping online i saw this stellite radio from sirius.. they have this model called stilleto2, well it's look like an ipod for me. i was planning to buy it to since they have this promo. well what do you think guys should i buy a lap top or a satellite radio?

What's wrong with the:
Gateway AMD Turion 64 X2 14" Laptop w/2GB RAM and 250GB Hard Drive for $629.99 @ BBuy?

Besides it being a Gateway of course (), don't the specs looks good for the price?

I was told the Toshiba $399 laptop deal at CC is a friday/saturday deal and it's not one of the "early bird" limited supply deals...is this true?

Not to mention lack of ieee1394 (big deal for me) and bluetooth (not a big one). Oh, and it's Gateway, but you said that...
