In Fry's case when they show something as -10 AR (and it's not very often) it's because they have priced the item below what it should have been because of the total of valid rebates. It has NOT been because they listed an extra rebate that was not valid. The popular complaint of the Iolo stuff that everyone has been trying to get extra rebates on has never been advertised with rebates that do not apply. Similarly for the CA stuff No, this isn't true. Most rebates Fry's offers have TWO REBATES; the original AND the upgrade. The last three symantec rebates i've done with fry's all have both the rebate AND the upgrade rebate to come up with the -$XX.xx AR priceKindly remind me which Symantec deals have been listed on the website as better than free at frys.com, and I don't mean a penny or two better than free. It's typically the Iolo stuff that has been -10 better than free and yes it included two rebates but they were both listed on the site. |

Speaking of Iolo, I'm getting some "household limit exceeded" invalidations on some of the rebates that previously had a limit of 10 per household (06-62437, 06-62438, etc.). Looks like they are clamping down on that too. I e-mailed Parago and am still waiting for their response about why I've exceeded the limit for rebates that have been around since last year with a limit of 10 (no, I have not done anywhere near 10 of any of these particular offers). |

Another reason to avoid rebates, I guess. I can't seem to, unfortunately |

My last McAfee rebates were precisely like that. Part McAfee, part Staples Easy Rebate. McAfee part was processed without issue, but the Staples part was rejected because they claimed it was duplicate. And it was then that I discovered this Staples rebate was handled and paid for by McAfee and not Staples. Spoke to three different CSRs and none would budge, so I took the receipt and rebate form back to the store, and the manager paid me from the register instead.
I wouldn't buy anymore McAfee product if I have a choice because of this. Interesting position, considering you're not actually buying anything since it was FAR... -z |

For the first time, Parago adjusted my McAfee to make it the price I paid, not -$30 in my favor. I guess the Golden Goose is dead, and I got a bunch of exceed houselimit invalidations on iolo stuff and they won't budge even though my print out says 10 per offer.... |

I'm having the same issue with 2 Iolo rebates. Even though my rebate form says limit 10, they are insisting that the limit is 1 per offer. |

Details: Paid $59.99, mailed in for the $60 Frys.com rebate and the $30 rebate. Both marked valid, but they changed the $60 rebate to $30 and mailed me a $30 upgrade rebate and $30 Frys.com rebate.....this has never happened before, it's always been profit before... |

I'd imagine this can all be tied back to the CA oversubmission. Maybe Parago had to wake up and realize what was happening to their customers. And when you call to complain about this stuff, remember it's their customer you are trying to take advantage of (whether you see it that way or not). |

Hopefully they do not enforce their rebate restrictions on that one. UPDATE: the price on this is fixed and now it's back to $70 less $70 = FAR. |

Hey, if the rebate firms are reneging on their rebate commitments, then I guess its time to use the old Apartment #1 and Apartment #2 when sending in the multiple rebates. I also noticed that flicking digits around on an address works. My mailman seems to get me the rebate checks fine and dandy. |
