which link?

I know there is a link somewhere. But iTraker knows this link so you can just use iTraker to find the stores local who have it. Of course often times this is very difficult to track down a Wii because I'm not sure how their stock is updated but it seams like it is several hours delayed and of course usually when a store gets them in they are gone within 20-30 mins if that.

Any idea on how to score Wii in Raleigh/Durham/Cary area. I have been trying to find one for quite some time. Went to BB & CC last Sunday, have been calling GameStop and missed their shipment by an hour.
Thanks,

the itrackr and GameStop zip code URL never works for me. I called my store MINUTES after seeing the stock come in on the alert and they basiclly said that they havent seen any for weeks so far. anyway, I missed the Amazon deal but I know at least some of you guys got in on it, so I'm going the online route (I hope).

Also, did anybody see the tagscan (tagscan.com) alert go green this morning? If so, did anybody get one of the Amazon consoles?

I noticed that both the itracker and the GameStop website say they have stock in stores around my area. However, when I called the stores both stated they have not had any in stock for a few days. I too think my best bet is the online route or standing in line this weekend somewhere.

Thanks,

Set up a tent in front of GameStop. That seems to be the only way to get one these days. The UPS guy comes around 10-11am around here.

Amazon changed thier wii policy.

As you may know, the Nintendo Wii is in great demand, and there are shortages of this product across the U.S. In an effort to provide as many customers as possible with the opportunity to purchase a Wii, we are limiting the total number of Wiis that can be purchased. As a result, each household may only purchase up to 3 Nintendo Wii units total. See additional policy details

I for one think this is great. I was able to get one for my kids at Fry's a few weeks back. I am trying to assist my kids godmother in finding one...read threads, do wii alert, check stores, etc. no luck so far. I hope this helps others able to get this a normal price and not a rip off from some ebayer.

good luck to everyone who needs to find them

there, they're...don't fret.
They've had this policy for a while - I noticed it back in October.

On a side topic I think we need to start a sub-topic thread for Guitar Hero III for the wii. Sheesh, this is almost as difficult to get as the console itself.

Sorry but the policy before was 3 per calendar month.

Re-read the policy. This is VERY different from the October change.

GS had a big sign on their front door "No Wii's!" I went next door to the WalMart to buy a Pirates 3 DVD and on a whim decided to check the electronics area. No Wii's in the case, no one waiting in line so I looked around the register area. There they were! She had just unboxed the Wii's! I asked where is the line? She said you are it, step up to the register! As I finished checking out, people were running to electronics. News travels fast! Cashier said people were there all morning hoping their stocktruck brought some. I don't think people realize that UPS is the main source of Wii's from 11am to 2pm!
Good Luck! Check WalMart B&M!

what's the use?

The use is that if someone is on the east coast and finds a wii at their WalMart(or any store) it does give the West coast a heads up. Also if the person posting is on the west coast then people on the east coast know they are already too late. I just do not understand what help "MY WalMart got some, or the GS by me has some now". Why not at least make a reference to the state you are in, if not the exact store.

And maybe just maybe someone might say "I just got a Wii at WalMart because they were not even out yet and if you have the ability to get to store X in the next half hour you might get one".
