Yeah it was available for seconds. Maybe they will have them again next week, but Amazon is tough. Hopefully bestbuy or Circuit City's site will have it soon , they get a lot more and sell them unbundled or in cheap bundles.

Location is not as important as B&M location to me. I know now to try WM vs GS in availability. To each their own

is GameStop holding out for this weekend
itrackr says they have them in
And so does gamestops website
but when i call

they say they dont

anyone know?

alert mods

Itrackr is wrong. Unless you are at a GameStop when the shipment comes in you are never going to get a wii there.

alert mods

i dont think they are holding out. i dont like itracker it doesnt seem to work. most of the gamestops around me(michigan) got them in yesterday. the one that didnt(i was there for ups) yesterday told me today they got them yesterday which is complete crap because i was there for the trucks both days. call and ask if they have gotten them this week, and if they haven't, i suggest waiting there tomorrow for the truck

what time does the truck usually come at GameStop then?

From 3 each month to 3 period. Sounds reasonable to me to allow others a miniscule chance of getting even 1.

I went by my local GS (chicago). They said they got some yesterday and maybe more on friday but had none right now. I have no reason to suspect they are lying.

That will vary greatly since it is done through UPS or Fedex shipping. Now typically those carriers will have 2 runs a day (morning/afternoon) so you might be able to pinpoint it if you talk to the workers at the store.

i went to my GameStop today (AKRON OHIO) because guy said they were expecting 3

i got there and they had a used one someone traded in(morons!) and 2 others were waiting for the truck

they told me between 11-12 it comes i got there was 11 and the truck was there by 11:10

but no wiis =\

they said they expect 6 between today and friday, but that UPS only picks up later they dont deliver again until tomorrow

he said most likely 3 tomorrow and 3 friday

ill be there at 10:30 =)

alert mods

oh, and gamestops page told me a local one had them in stock so i went and waited for them to open and they got them in yesterday

it appears their stock page is a day behind or something

alert mods

I'm trying to figure out if there is any way to use the UPS website to track these systems down BEFORE they get to the store. I noticed that they have a "track by reference" search. Does anyone have a shipping box from one of these stores that may have the reference information on it? This is a search that will track packages in a specific zip code. Maybe a long-shot, sure would be nice though! Not that it would be unfair or anything...haha

alert mods

the trucks get there roughly the same time daily.. just ask the guys when their truck comes in

i called about 10 stores and several told me when the truck comes

According to the UPS site:

"A shipment reference is an identifier that you define by completing the "reference" fields during the shipping process. This reference could be a purchase order (PO) number, a customer number, a company name, a Bill of Lading number, or a phrase that identifies that shipment -- such as "10 crates" or "gift for Mom." Shipment references can be any combination of letters and numbers up to 35 characters."

PO numbers would be tough, but a phrase, customer number or company name might be possible. Wouldn't need any of this if we just had Nintendo's UPS account #...LOL

what's the use?

The use is that if someone is on the east coast and finds a wii at their WalMart(or any store) it does give the West coast a heads up. Also if the person posting is on the west coast then people on the east coast know they are already too late. I just do not understand what help "MY WalMart got some, or the GS by me has some now". Why not at least make a reference to the state you are in, if not the exact store.

And maybe just maybe someone might say "I just got a Wii at WalMart because they were not even out yet and if you have the ability to get to store X in the next half hour you might get one".

So you want West coasters to brag to East coasters that they're to late. Thats real helpful.

Also, my local WM had 24 this morning. Found out 3 hours to late.

I just call my GameStop They going to have it B&M on this Friday between 11 Am to 1:00 PM. I am going there. ha ha.
