Fwers who bought the set gave out many favorable comments. Some found that the furniture coupon at that time worked on the HDTV too. ikonoklast

Was going to get an Olevia but tired of waiting. OTA HDTV looks great! No more staticy image! Was watching Wheel of Fortune and counting Vanna's wrinkles. Going to hook up to the cable line and see how QAM HDTV looks later. The only cons I can think of is the remote seems flimsy and it took long time to search for channel for initial set up. First LCD TV so don't know if it takes long for other LCDs as well. Any one have any inputs on extended warranty, Staple wants $133.xx for 2 year extended, no way I am paying that. Roll the dice and go warranty less? My final price was $476.xx with 8.375% tax. I am liking this TV a lot. Hopefully it will last 4+ years. ------------------------------------------------------------ LetsGoMets1
Senior Member Date Posted: Aug/01/2007 12:19 PM Rating: +1 My experience so far.......PRETTY GOOD. I plugged this baby into my REGULAR cable.NO HDMI cables. Took about 20 minutes for the TV to auto scan all the channels. My regular cable system offers 90 channels of BASIC cable. I now still get those channels.....PLUS....all 90 of them in what I assume is Digital ( 480 i/p).....PLUS an additional 75 " NEW" Digital channels, including about 50 of them music. Add to that 15 " over the air" HD channels (720p/1080I) !!!! All of this without spending an extra penny on new cables, antennas or paying for additional services. Now I assume I may need cables to hook up my DVD player. I am NO EXPERT when it comes to HD so I hope this makes sense. The TV works like a charm. The sound on digital sounds a bit different and not as easy to adjust than the ' regular" channels and the owners manual is not that detailed, but for $ 439 it is a bargain !!! Yes, it is a no name brand so we shall see. Again, I'm no expert when it comes to HD, how it should really look, what channels broadcast HD some of the time or all the time, etc. And yes, you can use it as an LCD monitor for your computer. Heck, they even included the cable for that. -------------------------------------------------------- mabfias

Has been running continuously since last night [trying to see if there are going to be any problems]. Since it is my first widescreen, LCD and HD [I know, I am living in primitive times based on FW standards!], I have nothing to compare against. Image quality from DVDs that came from my Sony camcorder are very impressive even without upsampling. Yet to experience high def because the set is not receiving the local PBS [which broadcasts both SD and HD on the same channel] in HD although it is receiving in SD OTA. Debating whether to upgrade my DishNetwork service or to get an antenna. ------------------------------------------------------- mbdsmith

I'll probably get pounded for saying this, but it looks pretty similar to the Samsungs I was looking at in this size. Haven't had much time to play with the video settings yet. Anybody got settings that they would like to share? guess I'm getting lazy. Only one problem, was missing a nut that you secure the stand with. Would definitely recommend this for a smaller size set. ------------------------------------------------------- bkgovols New Member Date Posted: Aug/04/2007 9:46 PM Rating: 0 I have not checked mine out for long yet but what I have seen of this tv is awesome so far. I am no HDTV expert to judge subtle picture quality differences but the picture quality on the HD channels is pretty sharp even standing close to it and only looks better when you get a little further back. I was watching Gladiator for a few minutes in HD what a perfect movie to be in HD. I will post some more about it later but I guess this deal is dead as of tonight anyway. Thanks to those who posted this. What i also liked about the television is that the front of the TV has a shiny border similar to the samsungs shiny glossy finish. Overall i am impressed and hope it holds up in the long term but for the price a sure thing! ------------------------------------------------------- volcanix92

This is for Time Warner in Los Angeles. I'm in Westwood more specifically. ---------------------------------------------------------------------

New Member Date Posted: Sep/06/2007 9:42 AM Rating: 0 Picked up this set yesterday at one of my Staples in San Diego. I started calling around once I heard it was going on sale next week. I lucked out and was able to purchase it at the sale price. I had to call many of the Staples here and was only able to find one store that had them. Only problem was that I couldn't find any coupons. Tv looks great, I was able to pick up many OTA Digital channels just fine. Hooked up the PS3 and that looks great also! I do have one dead-pixel however. What do you guys think I should do? --------------------------------------------------------------------- aznfury
