That's great news. Although I would think the one GC per order might be wrong as well. The press release and BB HD DVD Page says "a complimentary $50 Best Buy gift card for each HD DVD player you purchased from Best Buy before February 23, 2008. " So I expect to receive 2 $50 GC for the 2 HD DVD Players in my order. But this is much better news than we heard this morning which was no GC at all for BBfB customers.

I just called BBfB this time and they said I would be receiving it now with no call needed or more information. I mentioned that I was told earlier that BBfB was not eligible and he said it was funny I should mention that because he just received an e-mail from his higher ups instructing them that BBfB customers would also be receiving the deal.

Called back again a nice Lady by the name of Denise told me that BBFB orders do qualify and i just need be patient I will receive confirmation via email or phone. She said it was one per order not per HD DVD player purchased....hmmm I wonder what the 3rd person will say....

I'm on the phone with someone by the name of Josie she stated BBFB does qualify. She asked for my BBFB order# , Phone # and mailing address she puts me on hold to look up the order. She comes back and shoots me down states BBFB does not qualify...Anyone want to draw up an email template so we can blas them? I would by my writing skills suck just look around at my postzed.....

If i bought in store do i have to call or just wait for the GC tp come??

Haven't you read? With BB, you DON'T have to return your HD DVD player. You get the $50 GC regardless. CC requires you to return the player to get your GC refund.

I'm pretty sure Wal-Mart isn't going to do anything to compete. They know you're going to continue to shop there regardless of their customer service. But this deal has been pretty shocking... shocking that BB would do anything at all.. maybe Wal-Mart will step up. If they don't, it's just 'another brick in the wall' of why I don't shop there and will continue to not shop there.

If you're like me and have no intentions of trading it in, then this BB deal is a hell of a lot better. An unexpected $50 GC freebie!

personally i would rather get my money back and get a ps3. 50$ is 50$ though.better than nothing
