Xbox 360 HD drive 2 Ultimate Matrix HD Boxsets Heroes HD boxset $35 BB Giftcard 5 free HD-DVDs -------------------------- $197.xx
Sold the HD drive on eBay for $120. Returned Heroes to BB after Christmas for $107.xx credit. Kept everything else.
Now, I get another $50 back? Hahaha... <--- Me, laughing all the way to the bank! I'm assuming on your way to the bank you are going to forward your gift card on to the poor soul you sold the HD drive to on e-bay. |

got this email today: Dear Best Buy customer, Our records show that you purchased an HD DVD player from Best Buy™. Recently, Toshiba announced that they will no longer produce HD DVD players, and movie studios decided they will no longer release new movies in HD DVD. At Best Buy, we are dedicated to making sure you always have the right technology for you. That is why we will be mailing you a Best Buy™ gift card in the upcoming weeks. If you haven't received your gift card by May 1, please call us at 1-888-BEST BUY (1-888-237-8289). If you are interested in trading in your HD DVD player and HD DVDs, check out our technology trade-in service at BestBuyTradeIn.com where we will accept HD DVD hardware and software in exchange for a Best Buy gift card based on its market value. We truly appreciate you as a customer. If you have further questions, please go to BestBuy.com/hddvd. |

I'll keep it because that with the BB GC, it is a great price for a great upscaler. I'm a happy camper. Only $39 bucks, and the BooRay fanboys finally stopped threadcrapping |

I just received the email that I am getting my gift card in the mail, I forgot I BOUGHT mine at BB LOL... I actually sold it on eBay (bought at 199 sold at around 145) and kept the 9 HD-DVDs.. so for $5 after the GC I got 9 discs.. and I got my H2 at Wal-Mart for $99 (and got the 5 discs there too).. so for around $100 I got 14 discs and an obsolete player to play them on.. not bad.. |

I just got an automated phone message from bestbuy saying that their records show I bought an HD-DVD player and to let me know that I would be receiving a gift card and to contact them if I don't receive it by May 1. The HD-DVD player referenced was purchased through BBfB last November for $89. |

I rcvd an email from BB notifying me of the gift card, but had no idea how much. Great to know it's a whopping 50$ GC !! this makes my HDAdvantage TV Deal even sweeter! I did the HDA TV deal back in November and milked it 120% and got my TV close to nothing. This drops the net cost of my 42"er another 50$.. sortof, being a giftcard and all.. Between Bestbuy, Costco, and CircuitCity, this has worked the net cost of my HD-A3 down to a PROFIT of 29$!!.. and 22 HD-DVDs to come, most of which Im going to sell. This format war, and the collapse of HD-DVDs has been a great blessing. |
