applied on 5/9 w/instant approval. received card and activated today.

about how long did it takes for ya'll to get the camera after activation?

Make sure you make a purchase with it as well, because that is what they actually consider activating the card.

I had it within 2 weeks after activating the card.

What exactly does "activation" mean? Just call or do one actually need to use the card?

You have to call Discover to activate and then actually make a purchase with it.

Dell has this camera on sale now for $109, and they are still making a profit on it.
So Canon must have dumped alot of this model on the market.

I don't believe there is a minimum charge. I charged about $50 and got the camera.

Got a phone call from Discover. I have been approved and get my card next week.
She never even asked me about my current Discover Card....Just why am I getting a Discover.. I told her to collect on a " Promotion "..

Somewhere around the 10th of April. Had the camera about 2 weeks after activation, but others have taken longer and still not received it. Not sure why I received mine so fast.

I made my first purchase 0n 5-02 got camera ship confirm with tracking number today 6-04.
