hi there... i am on the phone with Discover card right now discussing that very issue i applied got a card and heard nothing further about camera and am pursuing it any info on oyour end?

almost samething here. i applied and got the card, tried to contact their CS, but no one knew about it. it might be that the distributor wanna get commision and provided fake info. that's why im digging for the website to figure it out. it's so wired that the deal info here was deleted.

I have been looking for the information of FW, but was wondering what had happened to it. I received my card, but no information about the camera. It is the only reason I applied. No camera, I will cancel the card.

Don't miss this:

You do have to make a purchase for it to be considered activated.
Then e-mail them and see what happens.

Yeah, thanks for the reminder. Before it's confirmed, im not gonna use the card, which means if they don't honor it, they wont get the commission. i just sent them email, now just crossing fingers and waiting.

You have to call Discover to activate and then actually make a purchase with it.

Somewhere around the 10th of April. Had the camera about 2 weeks after activation, but others have taken longer and still not received it. Not sure why I received mine so fast.

I made my first purchase 0n 5-02 got camera ship confirm with tracking number today 6-04.
Just received e-mail confirmation...Camera is on its way from Amazon. To bad its still the 580 and NOT the 590. Activated and made purchase on 6/5/2008. So it just over 7 weeks.
