Buy.com sold me the PhotoPlus X2 Digital Studio software with a full rebate of the purchase price of $68.00 two weeks ago. My rebate was rejected due to invalid UPC #. Rebate company said my UPC ended in three different numbers than what I submitted. I believe Buy misrepresented the offer as they sold a "Mini Box" whereas the rebate form mentions nothing about a mini box. Now to start fighting with Buy.com. Yuck!

Looks like everything has been straightened out. "Your rebate is valid and is scheduled for final processing."

My rebate was rejected due to invalid UPC number too, emailed to Buy.com, waiting their response.

I think that at the moment all of these will be rejected. I am communicating with the manufacturer to try to change the UPC # that the rebate company has on file. I don't believe that Buy.com will be of any help since it is a manufacturers rebate.

Looks like another buy.con disaster in the making...

Below is the thread for the original deal:

I suggest you call the Parago escalation desk at 877-681-2362 and explain the problem. Tell them the rebate is exclusive to Buy.com, that the picture of the software box on the rebate form exactly matches the item you received, and that the rebate form does not specify a specific UPC number and that the UPC code on the box was a sticker (perhaps covering the UPC code they are looking for). I have found this number to be very helpful.

That's a good idea, thanks. But I can tell you that the UPC on the box was NOT a sticker in this case. It is the original UPC code. Serif, the manufacturer, has been very communicative so far and I am waiting for a response from a manager there.

Hmm...as I recall it was a sticker (which is what my xerox of the upc looks like, but I may be in error).

So, Elric, have you called Parago to straighten it out?

Not yet as my rebate has not yet shown up online. But you can bet I will should they mark it invalid.

I suggest you call Parago directly. I believe they have the corrected UPC code number in their system.

I called Parago 1-888-213-9916, my $68 rebate is valid now, thanks mlf50
