I emailed them to check on my rebate status after approximately eight weeks and received this response:
We have received your rebate request, and it is currently being processed. At this point, I do not have more information for you, as it is currently in the review process. Please check back in 2-3 weeks for more information.

I had the same problem, until I realized that maybe the coupon was wrong. I e-mailed support@lhbrands.COM instead of .VOM and it worked. I guess Circuit posted the coupon wrong.
Also, I received my rebate last week. I guess they're a little slow, but $20 is $20, I'm glad I got it. Thanks Fatwallet!

I'm in the same boat, but I don't feel like calling or emailing them. I might give them another week before I start inquiring. It's good to hear that some of you did indeed get your rebate.

After emailing about the rebate (which is 15 weeks overdue as of now), below is their response (lhbrands.com, which is Lighthouse Brands, who is the distributor of Trust products from trust.com). They claimed that the UPC was incomplete but I know that is BS. I kept all copies and it certainly is not what they claimed. I will give them another week then on with the complaints to the AG. When do these companies, usually through Buy.com, realize that they can't screw consumers, especially in this hard economic time.

That Matt guy from the rebate center now said that because I did not submit all documents, which is a lie, my rebate has to be reprocessed and go back in queue. Four weeks ago he said I should receive it within 2-3 weeks...well...still no rebate check.
I looked on their website trust.com but found no information on the address of the company. Their domain trust.com shows that they are not in the US: Trust International BV Laan van Barcelona 600 Dordrecht, ZH 3317 DD
Their rebate center lhbrands.com yields the following: Lighthouse Brands ATTN: LHBRANDS.COM c/o Network Solutions P.O. Box 447 Herndon, VA. 20172-0447
Administrative Contact, Technical Contact: Lighthouse Brands be9sf65c9yr@networksolutionsprivateregistration.co m ATTN: LHBRANDS.COM c/o Network Solutions P.O. Box 447 Herndon, VA 20172-0447 570-708-8780
I will see if I can file a complaint to the Attorney General in VA. Click here to file. I will never buy any products from Trust again.

I finally got the check after I emailed the company (link can be found at trust.com) and got a response from them the next day. I was more upset at Matt lying about when I receive the check than waiting 17 weeks for the check. Just be honest and I can deal with that.
They denied my rebate, like they apparently do to everyone. I had to resubmit my receipt. It took months of waiting and many emails to that Matt David jerk before they finally mailed my check. This company won't send your money unless you hassle them, so have fun dealing with these crooks.
I called in September for a rebate from June and was told that they received the rebate and I should get it in 2-3 weeks. Forgot about it till recently and called them again. They now have a recording saying "due to substantial call volume, we are no longer accept voice mail inquires...please email..." I e-mailed them yesterday, and no response. After reading this thread, I doubt that I will get the money.
after numerous emails and promises to send the check (and phone calls before the number was shut down), I finally got my check today! Whahooo. didnt think that was ever going to happen. lesson learned, never trust "trust"
I am following for the rebate for last three months, one month before I used to get quick email response to my query but not now. For last two weeks there is no response. Will try to call RadioShack.com and let us see if I could get my check back.

I have been trying to get this rebate ever since early December 2008, never got a single response. There are quite a lot of other people are in the same situations. Need to figure out something that we can do to get our hard earned money back.

There are several threads regarding problems getting rebates for Trust products (mostly Trust mice bought from Circuit City or Radio Shack).
To file a complaint through the Better Business Bureau, visit the BBB.org web site and use the company's contact information above.
To contact the manufacturer to report problems with the rebate company, visit the Trust web site: www.trust.com . There are two routes to contact the manufacturer.
1. Click "contact us". This is mainly for resellers, but may get the company's attention since this is partly a reseller issue (rebates for purchases from CircuitCity.com, the reseller).
2. Click "support", and find the product number. The model is MI-6200, item #14462. Then send the message to them.
I received a response from Trust (the manufacturer) that the sales manager will look into this problem. Maybe if they receive more than one report from customers, it will be considered more significant.

I am in the same boat as others in this thread...Brought trust mouse from RadioShack...Initially that Matt guy used to respond immediately and promise to send the rebate...and now, he is not even replying
shan11 said: submitted a bbb complaint. lets see what happensI'll tell you what will happen. After a few weeks (if that long), you'll get back a note stating that they've tried to contact them without success, and they're closing the case, just like the post above (and mine). Trust/LH has gone from an 'A' or 'B' rating to an 'F'. This is one the few rebates that it looks like I'll get beat out of. Actually, I had Circuit City ready to pay me off (they couldn't get a reply out of Trust either), but they went down taking my $20 with them. Write this one off as a loss.

Since it's a manufacturer rebate, Circuit City passed on having anything to do with it (when I contacted them). So contacting the manufacturer may be the way to go -- it's their vendor rebate to promote their product, so it may happen that they make good on it. When I informed the manufacturer of the problem, I did get a response. I did not request that they make a payment directly, but that would be the next step.

In that case, you could file a report on Trust International B. V. with the Dutch version of the Better Business Bureau.
I found this discussion about filing complaints about companies in the Netherlands:
Yea, assuming that they're still around as a business and not bankrupt. FWIW, the NJ BBB gave me this advise: You may wish to contact the State Office of Consumer Protection at (973) 504-6200.

Also, part of the reason for filing complaints is for documentation. You might not get your $20, but at least the information that you (and many others) got ripped off is documented, bringing some semblance of accountability. So in the future if someone is considering buying a Trust product or getting a rebate from LHBrands, there will be a record of problems faced by consumers dealing with those entities.

You can try contacting Trust International I guess, but they haven't been very helpful to me.
They don't seem to know what's going on and don't follow up on inquiries. From the posts above, it seems that they've also repeatedly denied any responsibility for the rebate.
You can try complaining to them, but since Lighthouse Brands is already out of business, I'm not sure how much good that would do.
Here's a list of contacts I've accumulated and my experience with each one. I haven't had much luck, but you are welcome to try.
Lighthouse Brands (out of business):
Phone: +1-973-994-1776 (no Reply) General Email: support@lhbrands.com (no Reply)
Matt David, Product Inquiry Manager (no Reply) matt@lhbrands.com
Jared Ringel, Principal (no Reply) jared@lhbrands.com
Perry Dubinsky. President (2/22/09 informed me that Lighthouse went out of business) perry@lhbrands.com
Trust international:
Can contact via Trust International Website. Search for the product you own and click on contact helpdesk for that product. I've had most luck getting replies via this form, but they don't follow up to inquiries.
General email: support@trust.com (no reply) Main Office Phone: +31-78-6549999 (have not tried)
Michel Perridon, CEO (no Reply) Michel.Perridon@trust.com
Juliana Barata, CSR (only CSR who signed her name on the reply. Couldn't help, just gave me contact info for lighthouse which I already had.) Juliana.Barata@trust.com
Ceriel Ostermann, Business Development Account Manager (got contact from slickdeals, doesn't know whats going on, can't help) ceriel.ostermann@trust.com
I consider the matter closed since Lighthouse, the rebate processor, went out of business. The situation is similar to the lost rebates with the bankrupt Continental Promotion Group. I don't think that there's really anything you can do at this point, except to just be glad that the rebate was only for 20-30 dollars (30 in my case).
Trust replied no consumer support in the US. I wander if that is valid? The cuircuit city has replied this after requesting a copy of my submission.
