Maybe your insurance will be cheaper since you have a newer vehicle with all those airbags??
My insurance is $662/year now with $1000 deductible with 250K/500K coverage. I am in Florida.
This was a great deal. I had been a lurker on FW for probably 10 yrs or so but this one brought me to post. I purchased for my wife and I- a base model Quest and a base model pathfinder also. I am interested in a couple of things. Anyone know how much it is to get running boards added to the Pathfinder? I definately think it would look sharp. I really do not care if they are Nissan or other. I would also like to get a portable DVD player to go back and forth between the 2 cars. I think I am leaning towards one of the tablet style ones that connect behind the seats and one that has the 2 monitors. I do not want to sink too much into it and honestly am leaning on just getting one from WalMart or target and buy their 3 yr extended warranty since they are only like $29 to get the warranty and will have under $200 into it. Any other suggestions appreciated.
I know I also definately am going to get the tent. Has anyone seen these? They are unversal to all Nissan SUVs and Vans so I could use it with both the vehicles.

Yeah, well, I just hit 40 this year, so I think that is also why the rates are lower...

Xterra running boards at the dealership I bought from were $267 installed, so pathfinder shouldnt be much more than that.

I checked online Nissan parts websites and Pathfinder running boards are part # 999T6-XR003 (list price $199) but can be gotten at a discount online (I saw them as low as $159).
I found on my last Toyota truck that many local dealers charge retail or MORE for parts. After searching I found many Toyota dealers have online parts ordering (Easiest way to order is if you have the part number) and at substantial discounts. I did a quick search on Nissan dealers and have found the same. I picked some at random, look for your parts / accessories at any one of these sites and feel free to post other sitees if you come across them:

Nice tip, thanks. BTW, for those of us that bought from open road nissan of morristown, speak to the parts manager, Cole. Supposedly he's giving whoever bought a car from their dealership ~20% off on parts. Ex: side moldings he quoted "ap286" and me for about $30/ea which is a tad more than some of these sites but overall these sites have better prices, no question.
Other quotes he told me Wheel locks - $32 Grille/brush guard - $347 (I think)(not installed) Car cover - $100

Ony my last truck (Toyoyta FJ Cruiser) this was a really easy bolt on assempbly. Took about 10 minutes to install each side. I'm picking up my Pathfinder today (SE with running board alreay installed), but I'll take a look to see how they attach to the truck and report back.

For those of us looking at ceiling mount DVD players, anyone have any experience with these items? I am looking to of course integrate with the in-dash buttons, but I also not want something so big that my kids hit their heads on it or it blocks my vision.
i wonder if we can get navi for the pathfinder se. I mean factory navi. the screen is there, we need harddrive and antenna? any ideas?
tinting my windows tomorrow, K&N aircharger should be here sometime next week (265 shipped from http://www.clemmonstrading.com the site sucks but it was cheapest i found. trying to figure out what kind of alarm i want and thinking bout brush guard. oh mpg highway: avg 15.5 city: avg 11 but I've only got 350 miles and mostly highway. 1 fill up on 91 forgot how much it cost me. the thing i like most bout the pathy, is the tire pressure monitor, gives you psi read for all 4 tires, wish they would label which psi is for which tire.
also pickup the rubber mats, i'm disappointed with it, i don't fit well and the cargo mat doesn't cover much. you'll also lose leg room.

I have a pathfinder S which does not come with crossbars on the roof. It has the ones that from front to back but no crossbars. Anyone have any idea where to get them and how much as I will want them so I can get a ski rack.

Plan to install a pimpy custom grill on Quest S w/ power pkg, which is fairly easy (bolt-on).
Has anyone tried to install fog lights?
I assume that you can simply plug them in if you do not mind lights turn on evey time you start the engine.
Here is the AVS Lund Bug Deflector purchased on Amazon this week (you may have to scroll through the pictures)... the prices have increased on Amazon as of yesterday.
Not to crazy about the look of the window visors, but I love the look of the hood deflector.

Quest S - Anyone installed an after-market tow hitch? Please share your experience.
Went to Circuit City today for the installation of the Jensen 11" Overhead DVD player. It has a nice crisp picture, big screen. I only have about 1.5 inches of sight out the back using the rear view mirror with the player screen down.
It works with channel 88.5 FM on my radio. When I shut the engine off, but not the radio and AC, like when I am getting gas, it shuts off and you have to manually put it back on. It does remember where you left off in memory, so that is good. It also has a zoom feature and looked pretty good with a widescreen movie too, not cut off.
I need to get an additional headset, it comes with two. It also comes with a remote, but you cannot work the volume with the remote. I control the volume with the in dash radio buttons.
I will update as I use it more and figure out more about it. I paid $577 inc tax, 10% off coupon and free install.

Hood Bug Deflector ($42) now $49.18 on Amazon) VentVisor ($33) now $41.26 on Amazon) Quest Key Chain ($2.25) now $4.45 on Amazon)
Did you need to do something special to get this? if not can you IM me your order number (if alright) so that I can call Amazon to see if I can get at the same price as yours?
Also I am looking for a door edge guard which I have not been able to find at all for quest!

Do you all agree that the values of these vehicles have stayed high? I am wondering if I should reaffirm my 08 Nissan in bankruptcy. I paid $17100 for my 08 Quest S with drivers and seat package. I paid $17100 plus tax (loan for $19000.) I owe $15000 and my loan is for 48 more months @ 5.125%. I don't want to keep if I owe more than its worth. I love the van so far. I only have 11000 miles on it and no problems so far. I looked on KBB for a value, do I look at private sale for value?
