Yes, starting 12/07/2008 your Recycling Rewards will not exceed the amount of your total qualifying annual Office Depot purchases (Qualifying purchases exclude taxes; shipping; postage stamps; and prepaid gift, merchandise, debit, phone or services cards). Unearned Recycling Rewards will carry over from quarter to quarter and will expire at the end of the year."
That part that I bolded was added as of 4/1. It was not there previously.

No because using a rewards card to pay is not a "qualified form of payment" It's more like a X off Y, and you pay the difference if there is anything left.

Actually it was posted on the OD WL Website on 12/17/2008. I have a program running on my PC that constantly monitors changes on the site and them saves new revision to a PDF so I have a record of changes in case of a dispute. The terms you highlited are in the 12/17 revision PDF. Whether or not you and others bothered to check the site is another issue. Also to avoid futher confusion of the program tems as of 4/1 WL CS has now removed and specific WL ink recycling program terms from the supplemental receipts that print when you turn in carts. Those supplemenal receipt now states to refer to the OD WL website for complete program terms. IOW CYA

You are wrong. I read the site thoroughly.
I don't know what site you have been checking, but that defintely was not there, in regards to the ink recycling section.
I remember reading that you can't get rewards for taxes; shipping; postage stamps; and prepaid gift, merchandise, debit, phone or services cards; but nothing about the fact that those are not part of your "annual purchase."
In my rewards statement as of right now for the 1st quarter of 2009 I see a postage stamp purchase as part of "annual purchase" but not "qualifying purchase" for rewards.Come to think of it my total annual purchases were less than my ink recycling yet all recycling shows as rewards due. I guess we will just have to see when it finally comes out. I doubt it will stay that way the next quarter. I will have to use my gift card for tax and postage and pay cash for merchandise.
FYI heads up OD WorkLife Rewards for the 1Q 2009 are in the mail! I got mine yesterday. The amount was the same as intiially posted on the OD WL website.
judicska said: Watch out with T-Shirt fasctory! Ad says FAR with $30 rebate but rebate is only for $20 and no rebate on box.
Nova Development rebates have been submitted online for a couple of years now so there will not be any rebate form in or on the box. All you need is the rebate code from the sticker on the box. You can also call the Nova Development rebate center at 1-800-564-9309 and they will give you the rebate code for your applicable Nova Development software purchase. Also keep in mind Nova Development rebate offers often span multiple years so if you have already done another rebate for the same Nova Development software title you are not likely going to be eligible for another. For example the current Nova Development\Office Depot T-Shirt Factory offer has been valid since last November. If you did this T-Shirt Factory rebate during the Office Depot Tax software promotion you are not eligible again.

Got my OD card today, Great deal, just in time for the big sale.
So now that everyone had received their second quarter checks, has anyone received their full amount without meeting the "annual purchase" requirement?
Some people were worried about OD going out of business before the rewards could be spent. Good news, some generous folk have just contributed $350 million.
What ink and toner cartridges qualify for the recycling program? Starting 07/01/09, you can recycle ANY ink and toner cartridge - NO MATTER WHICH BRAND IT IS!
How many cartridges can I recycle per day and get rewarded for? (Real old info deleted)... From 12/07/2008 to 06/30/2009: up to 5 qualifying cartridges per day. Qualifying cartridges are HP, Dell, Lexmark™ and Office Depot® brand. Qualifying toner cartridges are HP, Brother®, Canon, Lexmark™, Dell, Samsung and Office Depot® brand. Starting 07/01/2009: members can recycle up to 5 ink and toner cartridges per day - we'll take back any brand! Your Recycling Rewards will not exceed the amount of your total qualifying annual Office Depot purchases (Qualifying purchases exclude taxes; shipping; postage stamps; and prepaid gift, merchandise, debit, phone or services). Unearned Recycling Rewards will carry over from quarter to quarter and will expire at the end of the year. You can recycle additional cartridges but Recycling Rewards will only be issued for 5 per day.
Was told today, ink tanks ok, no name on them also ok.

I, too, also verified with a store manager today that ink tanks are being accepted. Apparently, there are no longer any restrictions to type or brand.

Hmm, if you can return ink tanks, that's pretty sweet...since I buy mine off of eBay for <$1 each...I just read through the whole thread and will try later today.
My second quarter WorkLife Reward is posted online, but the amount is wrong, it is too high. I would assume they will fix the amount before they mail me the certificate.
Never did OD ink rewards but sounds like buy one ...deposit ink get next one free. I did spend a lot at OD before but never recorded it on rewards. I recently got my rewards card made and rewards shows zero. 1) Does that mean if I do not make a recorded purchase I can not get ink rewards. 2) Also if I make a purchase of $100 I can deposit only $100 in ink carts. 3) If at all I get ink rewards I can spend only a limited amount per day? I went through the posts above and am still not clear. I do not mind red but please someone advise me.

If you still have the receipt, you can manually enter the purchase into the My Work Life rewards system. There is some time limit for this and I do not believe purchases made before you became a member will qualify.
2 -- You can turn in as many ink carts as you want, but you will only receive rewards to the extent of total annual qualifying purchases. Spend $150 in 3rd quarter and turn in $210 in carts: receive $150 in rewards. Spend $175 in the 4th quarter and turn in $115 in carts: receive $175 in rewards. The carryover is from quarter to quarter during a calendar year but the carryover ends at the end of the calendar year.
3 -- Once you receive your rewards payment, there is no limit on the amount spent. Spend all or spend just a little. The payment is in the form of an unlimited use plastic rewards card that generally expires in 90 days.

Has anyone received their Worklife reward for the 2nd quarter (April through June)? Normally I would have received mine by now, but it still hasn't arrived.
I bought $700 worth stuff with a few rebates on some products. However in my worklife rewards account only half the value of the items show up with a total of approx $360. So I am a bit confused...ca I redeem ink carts of $360 or for the total of $700 excluding tax...TIA

It you paid for the $700 worth of stuff with other means( cash, credit card) you can receive up to $700 worth of inks rewards.

I haven't but I don't consider mine overdue yet. Mine seem to come the last week of the second month (in this case August).

I also haven't received mine. Probably will wait until the end of the month before I consider calling.

Thanks, I'll give it another 2 weeks before I consider it late.
