I emailed Antec via their trouble ticket system, since I have two uncashed $15 checks from cpg. Here's the response I got: Comment: Anthony, Antec is aware of the situation with our Rebate Center (CPG), and are working diligently on a final solution for all rebate offers. If you have received a check from CPG, we are asking you to hold onto your check until further notice. If you have had problems depositing your check, please save all documentation and contact Antec Customer Support for further instructions. We will update our website when we have reached a final solution to this issue. Thank you for your patience, Antec Customer Support |

man, this sucks. I have a bunch of outstanding rebates from antec and ocz from the Newegg combos sales. *edit* just erased ocztechnology from quick summary. according to this (bottom of page), ocz has not used CPG to process their rebates since July of 2006. |

shank said:damatrixz said:shank said:RELAX. The entity offering the rebate promotion (manufacturer, distributor or retailer) is responsible for fulfillment. Other than bank fees due to bounced checks, you should still get your rebate check - eventually. Worst case, you will have to go back to the entity advertising the promotion, and/or file a claim with your credit card company.
This is not the first or last time a rebate fulfillment house has run in to difficulties - just be patient, persistent, respectful - and keep good records.
Fortunately, all of my outstanding rebates are fulfilled by other entities.
How would i go about this? I purchased the xbox 360 hd player from FYE and i never got the rebate. I called in and they are unwilling to help, i called FYE corporate they direct me to the store, i call the store they direct me to the rebate line. I called my cc but since the time to file has expired they wont help either
File a claim with the BBB where the company is headquartered; if that doesn't work, file a claim with that state's attorney general. Might also be worth speaking with the store manager and if he/she doesn't help, POLITELY ask for their boss' contact information. The manager gave me the district managers #, but when i call it it keeps ringing. The manager replied she is out of town at the moment. I did file a claim with the BBB online but i never got a response. I just keep getting sent in a circle that never ends. Over 5 yrs of rebates i never had a rebate that was not fulfilled until now. Usually a phone call takes care of it, but not with this company. |

I deposited a $40 AVG rebate check on 11/12 and I've learned that it has bounced. Do not cash any AVG rebate checks. What a mess! |

I just filed for a rebate with Costco online. Now when i try to see the status, the online page is nowhere to be seen on costco.com. Should I just wait or resend the rebate to the new address mentioned in costco.com? |

WOW...I just deposited 2 pricegrabber review rebates yesterday for $5 each before learning about this CPG fiasco. I hope my bank doesn't hit me with a bounce charge. I mailed out another PG review rebate last week too. I also just submitted a $20 Costco rebate online last week and it looks like that's also affected now. WTF am I suppose to do about that one? Forget about the Big-3 auto makers, we need Congress to enact a new rebate bail-out package so these outstanding rebates are fulfilled and ban the practice of mail-in rebates outright! |

cpg isn't the only rebate processor. Please do NOT try to ruin deals for some of us just cause you are short signted. |

Did anybody check their rebate status through rebatestaus.com link recently? I've deposited two rebate checks from Trendnet on 11/12 (bad timing, I know). Today my status has changed from "your check was mailed on..." to "please contact us regarding the status of your submission." Am I overly optimistic assuming that my checks might actually have been paid? |

The checks you deposited will probably bounce unless they cleared prior to CPG filing Chapter 11. |

I just received a $40 AVG check this week, so I will definitely not cash it. Unfortunately I already deposited two AVG checks ($30 each) on 11/10 so they will probably bounce. I also deposted a $12 Antec check on 11/13 so that will probably bounce too. Has anyone contacted AVG to see what they will be doing about this? I went to their web site but couldn't find a contact e-mail address for them. |

If they bounced, I am sure Canon will pay for the ISF fee and the full rebate amount. |

For those received an Antec rebate check, here is what to do: According to customer support (1-800-222-6832, press 1), they just came out with this new procedure yesterday afternoon (11/18). 1. Copy your rebate check from CPG. 2. Send original check and copy of rebate paper work ( we all have this, right?). 3. mail to Melissa Moore Dept. # (the original Dept. # on rebate form sent to CPG) 47900 Fremont Blvd. Fremont, CA 94538 |

From Canon USA website: November 17, 2008. Dear Valued Customer, This is an official message from Canon U.S.A., Inc. The third-party rebate processing company that was responsible for processing rebate claims and issuing mail-in rebate checks for Canon-brand printer and video products (along with many other products from a number of other companies) filed a Chapter 11 Bankruptcy petition on Friday, November 14. The funds provided to them by Canon U.S.A., Inc. (and other companies) apparently are no longer available to satisfy the rebate checks such company issued on behalf of Canon and other companies. Regrettably, as a result, you should not cash the rebate check you recently received for such products, as it may bounce. We apologize for any inconvenience, delay or confusion this may cause. We are doing everything in our power to promptly rectify the situation. Accordingly, we request that you take the following actions: If you are holding or receive a rebate check for printer or video products which is dated on or before November 14, 2008, please do not cash the check, as it may bounce. Please look for updated postings on the Canon U.S.A. website on or about November 21, 2008 for further instruction on how to exchange your check for a new check that you will be able to cash. If you have not yet mailed in your rebate claim materials, please hold such materials until you receive further instruction. We are making new processing arrangements, with a new mail-in address. Please look for updated postings on the Canon U.S.A. website on or about November 21, 2008 for further instruction on where to mail your rebate claim material and how to exchange your check for a new check that you will be able to cash. Check our website later this week for further instructions and contact information for any questions you may have. Again, please do not cash any rebate checks for printer or video products which are dated on or before November 14, 2008, as they may bounce. We are committed to ensuring that you receive your rebate as soon as possible and that you will continue to have full confidence in Canon U.S.A., Inc. We apologize again for any inconvenience. Sincerely, Canon U.S.A., Inc. |

Sitting on $55 in AVG rebate checks from Stearns Bank in Scottsdale AZ. Bummer! Got a nice email from Adobe, though. They will reissue my rebate check from Adobe Elements and make good on it. |
