Since the Hot Deals master live.com eBay CashBack discussion thread was closed, I've continued it here.

Please stay on topic and discuss only eBay live.com (now bing.com) CashBack and not other issues or other fatwallet members.

Note: The Microsoft bing/eBay CashBack program ended July 30, 2010 (Announcement).

Where else is everyone going to go to:

1) Ask when the % will go back up to 20%
2) Ask when the % will go back up to 25%
3) Ask when the % will go back up to 30%
4) Ask when the % will go back up to 35%
5) Hassle FatherTed
6) Claim this deal is DEAD
7) Hand out red after red
8) Check the % before going to bed
9) See what everyone else has said
10) Brag about CB purchases and what they ped

Who gave this thread a red?

Good that you started this thread if not I would have.

Where do we go now to complain, rant and bloviate about our great deals?

So has the Hot Deals page hits fallen by like 95%.

Hoping this comes back soon at more that 8%. Not even the Vg-c70am gives me 25% anymore. It did just an hour ago, but not anymore.

Just wanted to thank mekas for starting this thread, hopefully this one can stay on target and be helpful. The other thread was so out of control it was hard to glean any information at all from it. Thanks Again!

Any bets on how long it'll take until this thread is in the same sorry state??

The subject needs to mention eBay! Otherwise this is a generic thread about Microsoft CashBack, not about eBay CashBack. Which is it?

I don't understand why the "moderators" care so much if a topic stays on thread. Sometimes I wonder if Tim Storm hired 14 year olds to run these forums.

Very silly. Moderators are acting like school hall monitors and just complicating matters. The old thread was fine.

They actually remind me more of bouncers at NYC clubs or TSA screeners.

Any predictions as to exactly when MS may move up the %? And is it possible that we are missing some of the keywords that have higher %?

Plan on never. There is no incentive for them to do it. If it goes up, jump on it. If it doesn't, you missed out. Get on with life.

But seriously, learn to READ people. Asking the same question phrased 14 different ways is pure insanity.

Mekas,

I was not surprised to find that YOU were the one to continue this thread here, in Deal Discussions. You seem to have been one of the few who was able to discuss ONLY the MS CB promotion (unlike myself).

Qube, you always get a green no matter what you say ... but I get a lot of entertainment value out of the perpetual drove of insanity. it's funny, it's amusing ... and best of all it's free!

With all the people paying attention to these keywords, it seems like it would be worth it simply for companies to "sponsor" the 20% keyword. I didn't know what a T Mobile Sidekick was until I typed it in hoping for more than 8%.

It's not off to a good start but that will improve in a couple of days. The DD forum is a much better place for this discussion.

Christmas is a week away so I don't expect MS to do anything wrt the eBay discount until January. There's almost nothing on eBay you could buy today that would get to you by next Thursday.

"VisionTek 4870" gave me 15% off 5 mins ago. When i went to check out though it turned to 8%

Anyone find any killer netbook deals with this technique that are still valid? I am trying to pick one up for my mom for xmas.

the T-Mobile sidekick keyword no longer shows 8%

jafoca said: the T-Mobile sidekick keyword no longer shows 8%t-mobil cellphones, t mobil prepaid = 8% now (credit to cashbackr)

duno if this has been seen here yet: http://twitter.com/wulgaru?page=1

That dude wrote a program that scans 150 keywords and posts the highest CashBack. it has only hit 8% in the last 24 hours, and it appears that it is currently broken. He is working on it tho.

Yes the old thread was so big it was worthless, but the quick summary was excellent. For every idiot who posted a question there were probably 20 who read the summary and saved money. Locking that thread, and therefore locking the quick summary, was stupid.

Im not getting any percentage for eBay now... not even 8%

Same here, a few of the "T-Mobile"s were working around an hour ago for 8%, but even those are gone now.

they still work for me all the tmobile ones

double post

I still get 8% all the way to eBay using 'T-Mobile cell phones'. This is from the cashbackr email feed.

I'm still not sure why 8% off has been exiled to deal discussion only and not allowed a hot deals location. I guess it's 8% and under doesn't rate.

Is there a max amount of CashBack for the FatWallet CashBack? ( I am combining the fatwallet and microsoft cashbacks)

Please let me know

Thanks

The "T-Mobile"s seem to be working again! I guess it just disappeared temporarily.

yeah im just not sure if i should hold out or buy it now.. 8% is not much if i wait i guess its not a big deal if i loose only the 8%

edit the tmobile ones now no longer work for me even after a full clear out of cache cookies etc with ie ff or chrome, i have a feeling we will not see this again, now of course i hope im wrong but idk i think its over, i did have a heck of a ride though lol

t-mobile cell phones is working consistantly for me still.

hmm no go for me with that one. ive refreshed many times .. arghhh

I just made a purchase using the 8% CashBack, but my web browser was still open from earlier in the day, so it may have been cached. The CashBack was in my Paypal account with in about two minutes of checking out. I knew they were approving the CashBack quicker, but I did not know it would be that quick.

Even though I only got 8%, I did notice that BIN prices on the item I purchased had fallen with the CashBack rate. So, my purchase was probably about equal to getting 15% off last week.

Got a hit for 8% using ipod - good for Cash Back at eBay! - just checked wii, and after a few refreshes, it pulls too.

"cheap shoes" brings up the 8%

"american apparel" also

Though you may not get scammed, the cards themselves were obtained illegally (stolen credit card, etc.). Essentially how it works is some kid in Asia or Europe masterminds a way to get credit card numbers. That person buys a ton of gift cards. He/she hopes that most won't get declined and they sell it in bulk to people in the U.S. Those people in the U.S. then sell it themselves for a little bit more than they bought it. You don't want to be the person stuck with the card when it goes to zero.

If it's too good to be true...
