Well I have been waiting for 60 days for my CashBack and when I check my status..I found that my first CashBack purchase showed as "failed" with a few lines like
"We've encounterd a problem depositing your CashBack reward into the PayPal account that you used for your eBay purchase. But we will keep trying."
I have contacted the customer support (https://support.search.live.com/) got an email saying that there is a "technical issue" and they have been working on it, I should be able to get Cash Back within 72 hours and my case is "closed"
72 has passed no sign of resolving the issue at all, and guess what, my second purchase shows as "failed" again with the same description

First step is to try the following:
enable the PayPal option to receive payments from unconfirmed senders or senders with unverified addresses My Account--->Profile--->Selling Preferences--->Payment Receiving Preferences: Block Payments for the items not sold on eBay from U.S. users who do not provide a confirmed address: If it is "Yes" change it to "NO" or "Ask Me"

I've received all of my CashBack from eBay BIN purchases starting from Oct through Dec. About 8 purchases, a couple were instant cashbacks, some were automatically deposited after some time (30-60 days), and others I had to log onto the live.com site and request the CashBack (I believe they emailed me for those and said I needed to do that).
Is the email you entered for your PayPal acct on live.com correct?
This is a known problem. Look at the larger liveCash Back thread and you will see others who have had the same problems. Mine is related to an eBay purchase that they attempted to automatically deposit after 60-days. Also check PayPal as some failed transactions show up. Mine hasn't but others reported failed transactions actual being in their paypal account. This happens even when you Paypal address is correct.

I have the same problem here, all three transactions were supposed to be available 25, 26th but show as failed. Anyone had any luck with support? My paypal address is correct but this should be irrelevant cause they have to go from pending to available before I ask for pay out.

anyone here has the same problem?I got the same generic canned replies as well as some other false promises and still don't have my CashBack deposited to my PayPal account and they're ignoring my e-mails (been e-mailing them almost every day for a week or so). I'll check to see if the other thread has any phone number but if anybody has it, please post here, as well.

I'm having the same problem. They owe me over $1000 and I'm getting no replies since the 1st canned response. This is absolutely ridiculous. If I don't get mine, I'll never use live.com, Paypal or eBay again, and I've been an eBay member since it began, and the same for Paypal. I have 5 Paypal deposits showing as "FAILED".
Anyone have any advice on how to reaqch them? The customer service email is a joke because they don't reply.
Same here. 3 failed deposits that were supposed to go into my Paypal account today. Previously, it had worked fine, I'd login and request the payment to Paypal and it went right over (they were $5-10 each).
This time around though, I have $500 pending, and other $200 that will come out of pending status on Sunday.
All of my purchases during the 30% promo are showing as failed, as well, and are not in my PayPal account. I hope its just "technical difficulties," but I smell something fishy.
The only canned response I have received is essentially thanks for contacting MS we are overwhelmed and there might be some delay in getting back to you. That was 4 days ago now. I have not received the failed payment and today live.com is showing another payment, that I requested on 1/26 as "Paid" even though it is not showing up in my PayPal. For what it is worth none of these purchases were eBay related.
As to the folks looking as where to go next you probably will need to escalate to external parties BBB, AG and others. My plan is to wait and see how things develop and to wait until I have tried to collect the bulk of my remaining rewards so I know exactly what has not been paid. I am already documenting everything at this point in order to do that if necessary. That is a couple of more weeks. I am just thankful that the bulk of my CashBack has already been paid.
Interesting thing happened to me. While two PainPal deposits have "failed," I just successfully received a new one that matured with Cashlack today. In fact, it was deposited the SAME day it matured, and this has never happened. It's always been at least seven days. Unfortunately, the failed deposit attempt on the 15th of Jan., and the 20th as well are still in limbo despite three emails to their support (sic). All were eBay purchases with the same account & email. It would appear the "glitch" applies to some deposits, yet not others.

Add me to the list of failed payments from Microsoft. I have two small transactions from eBay which were the 30% Cash Back and they both failed to send me a payment and I did not use a coupon. I only get the normal "we are working on the problem" response. I can't believe Microsoft would go to this degree to screw people out of their funds. Not that I think they are an upstanding company or anything but they have so much in cash that I have to wonder why they feel a need to screw up this service like this almost appearing to do it on purpose. I can't believe that anybody at fatwallet would ever use their service again. What have they accomplished?
I've had 2 fail. The first one on the 16th. They got back to me and said it was in my paypal account but it wasn't. They then said it's escalated to "tier 2" but I haven't heard back from them for a week. The second one failed a few days ago. Interesting thing - the two big purchases failed but in between the two of these I've been paid on 3 smaller (less than 5 bucks) CashBack amounts.
My e-mails had also been ignored. The second "failed" attempt was over a week ago already and their CSRs have lied to me 3 times already just on this one case.
I also have 2 transactions that have failed and that's supposed to deposit in a few days(which I'm sure will fail as well). I do not think Microsoft is trying to screw us, but definitely something is wrong and its kind of frustrating. Customer Support replied to the e-mail I sent, and I just sent a response, we'll see what comes of it...
