Ok so this deal is not available right now to purchase, however I was ready to purchase a TV and this made me change my mind and wait. The Specs are REALLY good. Not too many TVs have 240 HZ available and are let alone 55 inches. Now some of you may say this is not a hot deal because it isnt available yet. Well I think 3 months is well worth the wait for a TV of these specs for under $2000. Espically when Costco will probably stock this for less than the MSRP of $1999. This is a Hot Deal because it might make some people wait the 3 months ( June 2009 Rumored to land)and get a great TV for a super price.

I've been eyeing this TV myself. Though its gonna take alot to beat pictures from current Samsungs at this price - even if they're not LED.

LED backlight for reduced power consumption is a nice idea, but 240Hz? Is that for 3-D at 120Hz for each eye?

I bought the new Macbook with LED back lighting and I gotta say it makes a HUGE difference in the picture quality. I love Samsung and I have been looking, their 55 inch is going for $4k 52 inch are going anywhere from $1399 with 60HZ to $1799 with 120HZ. Tough decision but I'm gonna hold out I want to see this thing in action

Not a hot deal. Interesting, sure.

Interesting product, but I'd want some good reviews and the opportunity to see it in real life. Seems good on the surface but I wouldn't feel comfortable being the one to jump in without knowing. That said, the price looks awesome and to those of you who get it - I want a review!

LED makes black look blacker and whites whiter. This is because LED can dim independently and not keep the entire screen bright like the traditional CCFL back lit LCD.
Are LCD TV's going to have the RGB LED's?

The 120hz is suppose to display 3Dish images I think.

I am waiting for this TV as well. The specs on the paper are excellent. Just hope the image quality can be up to the hype.

While not a hot deal now, useful to those (like me) who are looking and would think about waiting for a LED model for the right price...

Sorry Folks, but it looks like we'll have to wait a bit longer for this one. I just got an e-mail back from Vizio customer support stating that they'll begin shipping to Sams, and Costco at the end of July Still prolly worth the wait

Hopefully Costco has one of their coupon deals on this like they did with the non-LED version.

Please keep us updated on this if you can, including reviews if you would be so kind.

i'm sure it's a nice tv but samsung has been doing

this for awhile now and has financing available

Well, the Samsung may be better, but is it $1500.00 better? That's how much more it is. Wow!

I own the 120HZ xvt. WHile it is a great TV, it feels like it was rushed to production. I sometimes have problems viewing fast action scenes (jittery), more so than on my old 60HZ Vizo. I kinda feel like a beta tester...

Now for the good, the picture is amazing. It almost has a 3d feel to it depending on the video source. Even on my upconvert player some movies look "fake"... it almost feels like you are watching a live play at times.

If you really want a 240HZ I would recommend waiting for the next generation 240HZ to be released. Let the early adapters beta test this product for Vizo... or at least wait for reviews and decide if this set is worth it when the next line comes out and prices fall. I wouldn't buy this unproven set just because it is 240HZ.

Latest info is delayed now until September.

I wonder how this thread got the boot?

And MSRP bumped up to $2199

Still better than $3399 for the same specs on the Samsung version
