When I purchased my furniture with the agreement that I would get a voucher for $500 free groceries, I did not agree that it would be this type of mail-in receipts to get gift cards program. I received the voucher when I received delivery of my furniture. Contracts were signed before that; therefore, the furniture store was not honest AT ALL. Their advertisement was deceptive. We were actually expecting a voucher worth $500 or a gift card from them - not all this hoopla and B.S. with BBZ or any other similar type program. So yes - it is accurate to say that I did not agree in advance to any of this. And when I DID "register" the voucher, it was described as a simple and straightforward program. Mail in receipts-get gift card. It must be really wonderful to know so much about everything, JayK - or rather, in your world, THINK you know everything.

And when I DID "register" the voucher, it was described as a simple and straightforward program. Mail in receipts-get gift card.Unfortunately, failing to read the policies of the program on its web site does not exempt you from said policies. By participating in the program, you implicitly agreed to the program's privacy policy. It would be nice if they were legally required to print the entire privacy policy in the advertisement, but they are not legally required to do so.

You can argue that the advertisement was "deceptive", but you would quickly lose. There is a link to the privacy policy on every single page of claimyourgroceries.com, and I'll bet the advertisement refers you to the site for more information about the program and its terms. The best way to attack this is by going after the retailers who participated...since the company that runs the program declared BK, they are protected from paying off unsecured creditors (i.e. anyone who sent in receipts and got nothing back).

I just found this forum and I've been waiting for my March, April, May and June gift cards and still haven't gotten anything. They sent me an email in May stating that they received my receipts and would "allow" me to apply them to March even though they were from April. I emailed them back and told them that they received March, April and May and I expected to receive all three gift certificates because I followed their instructions perfectly. Today, I received a strange email from a strange company that I didn't recognize...but I think it's from claim your groceries.
Here is the email: BBZ Resource Management, Inc. announced today that it has filed for Chapter 11 reorganization in order to preserve the value of its business for its creditors. BBZ also announced that immediately prior to its Chapter 11 filing, it entered into a new strategic relationship in order to preserve and maximize the value of its data mining business for the benefit of its creditors, business partners and other stakeholders.

BBZ's historical business involved both the sale of rebate certificates and the accumulation and use of consumer data. Recent events surrounding BBZ's rebate certificate business necessitated BBZ's Chapter 11 filing. Early in 2009, BBZ entered into a 15-year contract with Kidz Idz, Inc. to purchase $345 million of rebate certificates from BBZ. Kidz Idz' performance under this contract was personally guaranteed by Michael Pouls, the owner of Kidz Idz. Relying upon that contract, BBZ entered into a long-term lease for a new fulfillment facility and hired new employees to deal with the exploding demand for the rebate certificates that BBZ sold. Rather than honor that contract, however, Kidz Idz and Mr. Pouls not only breached their obligations but also undertook what BBZ believes to be concerted campaign to co-opt the rebate certificate business and destroy BBZ. This effort culminated with the Pouls Parties filing a lawsuit on Thursday, June 25, 2009 falsely asserting that BBZ's business is a fraudulent "Ponzi" scheme. Ironically, that same day BBZ was working with outside counsel to prepare its own lawsuit against the Pouls Parties asserting their breaches of contract and other wrongful conduct.

The damage to BBZs rebate certificate business from the Pouls Parties' conduct made it imperative that BBZ act to protect its consumer data mining business for the benefit of its creditors, business partners and other stakeholders. Accordingly, BBZ has entered into a contract with an industry leader to take that business forward in exchange for BBZ receiving a share of the business's revenues. This new relationship will form the foundation of BBZ's anticipated Chapter 11 plan of reorganization.

In the meantime, BBZ has suspended sales, activations, and redemption of rebate certificates, as well as gift card distribution. Consumers awaiting gift cards or holding certificates are encouraged not to contact the businesses or brokers that sold or gave away the certificates, as suspension of this program is beyond their control. BBZ is committed to honoring its obligations and will be working diligently with its outside professionals in the Chapter 11 process to maximize the return to its creditors.

Inquiries may be sent to BBZ's new mailing address: PO Box 11000, Mesa AZ 85214-1100.

I also tried calling the customer service number from this forum and it tells you that you have to use their website for customer service and you don't get any human beings on the phone. I sent them an email. I will have to wait and see if they respond.

I received an enrollment into their program...had to send in receipts every month. I never received anything from them and after I filed a complaint with the BBB of Arizona a few days ago, this is the email response I received. I never expect to get anything now! Stay away from them! Brianna

I just got a letter from Ashley Furniture telling me that they found a new, reputable company to replace this former one. I am supposed to notify them if I want a replacement certificate and then they will send me a new certificate so I can start over with this new rebate company. I went to this website they gave me and I can't believe there will be a charge of $10 to get the new certificate but it will be added back to my first gift card so that first card will be for $35 and then $25 thereafter. Again it says to wait 8-10 weeks for the first one. So they get to have my $10 for 8-10 weeks for what??? Guess I will be calling Ashley this afternoon even though my letter says you have to come to the store if you need assistance. This is very frustrating!!

I just called Ashley. Hopefully everyone saved copies of their receipts cause it sounds like we need to send all of them to this new company. She said even though I did get 3 gift cards, they are starting completely over and I should send copies of all receipts since Jan and they will again rebate the 3 I already received. Wow!

Hi, Great to read all of these updates. Does anyone know how to file with BBB in AZ? That seems to be the way that a few of you have FINALLY received the cards. Thanks!

Does anyone know how to file a complaint with the BBB of AZ? That seems to be the only way that some of you have finally started to get your certificates. The number I call just rings and rings and all of my e-mails to the company have been unanswered. Thanks!

Claim Your Groceries, under the parent company BBZ Resourece Management, Inc., has filed for Chapter 11 as of July 1, 2009. Go to claimyourgroceries.com to read their announcement.

The store that issued my certicifate is in the process of sending out certificates for another company's rebate program.

Check with the store that gave you the certificate and see what they can do for you.

Bummer. What an annoying development.

A total scam. Our local furniture store offered $500 off a furniture purchase. The $500. was in the form of $25 per month in grocery/gas vouchers from Claim your groceries.com For 6 months I sent in the required receipts and NEVER recieved any vouchers or gift cards. Checked back with the furniture store and was told the company went bankrupt.

I just saw on the local news that the company has gone bankrupt. I've been sending them in since January too. Never received a voucher. I did send an email, got a canned reply about trying to catch up by June, and had a phone number. I called the number, it's disconnected.
