I'm still waiting for the Touch Pro 2 I've been told several times by Sprint that I can't lock in to another SERO contract anyway. It's basically month-to-month until I decide to cancel or they decide to cancel me.

I would say the only way that it would work is if you get a really cool rep that will give you the Everything Plan and a few discounts that will equal the SERO plans. that way you could attatch the Pre with no problems. The likelyhood of you find one... not likely... Sprint isn't known for their customer service... and honestly, the more you call... the more likely someone who doesn't know what they are doing is going to mess up your account. If they don't allow ANY new phones on SERO... i will be leaving sprint, never to return. |

As someone alluded to, I'm hanging on for 6 months. I think we'll see Sprint quietly look the other way and allow some method for getting a Pre on at least the $50 SERO plans. With the economy like it is I bet they'll (maybe on the insistence of Palm) be looking for a way to boost sales around the holidays, that is if Pre sales continue to slow. |

And especially if Verizon starts carrying the pre in a few months (by January 2010) as they keep claiming they will. |

Look into the Android based HTC Hero coming out for Sprint, keep your fingers crossed it works with SERO. I wouldn't wait 6 months for the Pre, there's no guarantee they will allow it with SERO and plus it'll be yesterday's news by then. |

Palm has officially announced the upcoming release of the Pixi smartphone, aka Eos. It seems targeted for lower end users (compared to the Pre it has no slide out keyboard, a smaller screen, a 2 instead of 3 megapixel, and no wifi). That might make the Pixi a better canidate for SERO even though it does have webOS. ETA: more Pixi info |
