I'm rolling the dice on a new printhead to see if I can resuscitate my beloved CANON i9900 wide-format inkjet printer which, not to put it too bluntly, I have cooked (or rather, the cheap ink I've used with it did). This is something of a test for me: I'll either get my printer back -or- have to order a new printer.

I'm going to run a bank of 8 genuine Canon BCI-6 cartridges through the printer to give it as much of a chance as I can, but I've never bought the expensive stuff before. If you know where I can get the lowest-priced Genuine Canon Inkjet Cartridges please post it. I'm in CA and we're forking over 10% to Arnold for Sales Tax so be aware that I'll have to factor that in if you're recommending someone in CA.

Thanks guys.

I recommend moving to laser, you save much more ink that way. There is a samsung one on sale from Newegg for $45 shipped, and a brother one from Staples for $25 AC.

The i9900 is a high end large format color printer - in other words, a B/W laser is probably not an option for the OP.

I buy my ink from Costco and Amazon. I only buy genuine ink for my two Canons (an MP620 and iP4000) because I've tried my hand with generic ink and the results suck.

you can buy generic carts with cleaning fluid in them to clean out the nozzels, or you can buy just the cleaning fluid the pros you and find the service manual on line.
