Are these events worth going to? If yes, does anyone know what the deal will be on that day? Or how to find out?

TIA

You can't find out before hand.
Your local store will have a separate deal booklet with additional coupons.
You should go; its a surprise.

Actually you can find out before. The Staples Premier Event coupons are ALWAYS the same for all the events within the same quarter. Our area had their Premier Events yesterday before the regular store hours. You should have received a $10 off $20 coupon card and an invitation. You need the invitation Staples sent you or your Premier Rewards card to get the Premier event coupons during the event hours. Most of the Premier Event coupons are for overpriced office supplies and print/copy services. IMO most are worthless. This quarter the only deal that is worth considering is the $60 off the OfficeJet Pro 6000 Wireless printer. You can also trade in a used printer and get another $50 off instantly making your net around $10 OTD for the OfficeJet 6000 printer. Even though the OfficeJet 6000 is not officially on the qualified HP list for this trade-in offer the coupon code will work. I got one yesterday with two packs of the FAR photo paper for ~ $28 OTD and I get back $23.98 in Staples SERs on the photo paper!

There is also a $40 off Norton Internet Security Premier Event coupon. Along with the $20 upgrade rebate and your $10 off $20 coupon card you can get it for FAR. However the FAR $(40 Staples SER/$20 Upgrader) deal Staples had advertised last week to the general public was a much better deal.
