So recently I tried to order a Panasonic digital camera from Dell. Went in the front door, no coupons, no magic, again, got canceled without reason. Tried to order again, using paypal this time (even though the card used was A-OK). Same thing. I tried calling customer service, they act like they don't even know me. Can't find me using the order numbers or my phone number, nothing. I've had four orders canceled this year. I'm submitting a complaint to the FTC.
Don't think any of them were pricing errors. Every one had "instant" savings, we aren't talking about blow out unreasonable deals. Last item was Dell # A1592735, Panasonic Panasonic Lumix DMC-LZ10S. Amazon has the same thing for $20 more, so we aren't talking a fat wallet on fire deal. The other items in question were very similar deals.
they've canceled a few on me due to pricing errors, and even followed through with a couple. Overall they've been pretty good to me, so I can't complain. If they're canceling a lot of non-pricing error orders, then I would definitely call them and complain quite a bit until they give you at least a coupon or something.
I did try calling. The order id's are up on my blog. When I call, they say they can't find my orders. They can't find my name. They can't do anything.... its loco.

Maybe its cause your mexican???
Hmm, no, wish it was that easy, my english is good enough to notice you refering to my mexican, which I don't have. I guess you mean "you're mexican." Anyway, it seems anyone I speak to is offshore and more apatethic than anyone at the DMV. They might be a bit better at understanding non-native speakers if that was the issue.
No reselling anything anywhere. I have made 7 orders in 2009. 4 have been automatically canceled. One I canceled on my own. I have created 2 more accounts other than my original to see if it was something with my account. I have received two Dell minis 12's. In previous years I've probably bought an average of 3 things per year since 2000.
I'm expecting the FTC to be a thorn in their side if enough people submit complaints. Just the fact that they will have to answer a complaint makes me happy. Do you think going with the BBB or someone else is a better idea?

You may have answered your own question. They may have you blacklisted due to multiple accounts?

Maybe, but I only created on after I was denied the deal the first time. Regardless, it should be easy enough to give me an answer over the phone. I just know to stay away from them now.
when your CSR are compared to the DMV it's time to pack up...

Seems about 50/50 you get the deal or not. I just dislike it when Dell sees ( not that it is a price mistake ) but that it was good enough of a price that so many people jump for the deal that they just want to stop honoring the orders. Those are the ones that really bad especially when they choose not to notify you.
My orders were all fine. Dell's got it's own forum & if my orders were canceled I would post there as it has Dell staff answering stuff. FW does not have any Dell staff now.
not a one outside of obvious issues (cc rejection, etc, that kinda stuff sure, but otherwise, nope)

I ordered a wii remote yesterday and estimate deliver date was 9/8/2009 at the time of order. However when I check status today it shows estimate delivery 9/22/2009 without any notice, carrier and tracking is still "unknown". I can expect this order will be canceled soon.
I ordered couple times this year from Dell and either got canceled or having problems with the order. Their customer service doesn't help at all. Dell is the worst business I've ever purchased from and will not buy anything from them anymore.
Well, after posting on the Dell forum, one of the reps gave me a number to call, and that ended up at the Dell front door and similar run around. No one could answer why I couldn't order. They even tried to take an order. I pinged the rep again on the forum and he had someone with a clue call me and she was able to tell me that my account was "on hold." Apparently I had an old card number stored in my account that I had tried to use "too many times" and that caused my account (any account based on my home address) to have its orders canceled. Funny thing is I didn't use that card, I input a valid card each time, so not sure what was going on there. I also think its rather craptastic that I had to find someone deep inside Dell to tell me what was wrong.
Its this type of stuff is why I don't do business with Amazon either. Cancelling orders just because they figure the price is too low to me is just shoddy business practice. If a B&M store has a price come up in the computer by mistake that's too low, they're obligated by law (in most states) to honor it until they fix it. Online retailers can push the envelope way too often.
1) "refering" 2) your previous post "its" 3) "apatethic" 4) sentence structure of first sentence 5) capitalization of proper word 6) fragment 7) missing that 8) I could continue...

OP, check to be sure your phone number and address at your credit card company and your zip code, etc match what you provided Dell as your bill-to address. Any descrepancy will could get orders cancelled at most online retailers.
Perhaps you gave Dell your cell phone# but your CC company has your home phone on file, etc.
