Got a flyer in the mail for a new BB opening tonight in Fairfax, VA. Supposed to be for reward zone members only. Included were coupons for double/triple points, 10% Off any Insignia brand item, and free Gift Card worth 10% of your purchase.
Anyone know if these events are worth going to? Any Black Friday-like pricing?
What it says is pretty much what is there...There was a 20% one item coupon given at the last one I went to BUT it was for the first 25 people in line.
The event seemed more geared to 'here is our new store' and 'this is what customers look like' than anything else.
If you have some time to burn, dress real preppy, and go from department to department auditioning the most expensive gear, asking all kinds of basic, random questions. Lead them to believe that you are going to buy the merchandise so they open the packaging, and then change your mind for some arbitrary reason (wrong color, etc).
If you really want to piss them off, having one of the blue shirts drag a bunch of stuff up to the front of the store, and then walk out just before reaching the register.

Just got back from there. Got my $20 gift card. Looked around for about half an hour then left. Same ol' same ol'.
I really don't get why people were buying stuff left and right like it was Black Friday. Prices were just regular retail pricing. No big fanfare. No giveaways of any kind. The only thing is we were greeted by a bunch of BB employees at door when we walked in. Other than that nothing special.
Bottom line is you didn't miss anything if you didn't go.
Just wondering if they'll actually have something happening at the real Grand Opening tomorrow.
