I am not necessarily recommending it, but to clarify there is a difference between violating the law and violating an unsigned shrink wrap license agreement.
"A copy of the Snow Leopard Install DVD. You can use the $29 "Upgrade" disc to install, even though this is a fresh installation. Note: If you feel like being completely honest, go ahead and buy the Mac Box Set—though, honestly, Apple's practically made it hard *not* to buy the fully functional install disc."
I don't know why this is posted on a 'deals' forum, there's really no deal to be had other than how to build a hackintosh. Great post nonetheless, I'm actually interested in it!
I was looking at this setup, and the price seemed kind of steep -- my build came to $824 and I went with the Intel Q9550. Would anybody recommend buying one of these HP+Bing deals as opposed to building on Newegg?

I think the LH OP configured it that way for it to be inline with the Mac Pros, and to show Hack Pro costs WAYYYY less for similar specs.
You can pretty much use any other parts and it should be fine, especially if you dont need that much performance, plus you could reuse any existing parts that you might have laying around (in my case i have enough parts to build probably two whole hackintoshes =\).
I would stick with the same mobo and graphics though, if you want to avoid any driver compatibility problems.
