Can you be a little LESS specific?

They are usually pretty good about returns, but since most items are so cheap, why bother paying for return shipping?

thanks for responding. well, i am not really trying to return an item. yes, their products are cheap and not worth returning.

my major problem with them is the customer care who talks over top of me and not allow me to ask any questions. i placed a large order in the first of Sept. the tracking shows that it has been delivered however, not to me. i called to find out why and it has been a battle.

i filled out an insurance form and i am waiting for the necessary week to allow them to check with the post office. i was only needing to know where my pkg. was and what i can do the agents that i spoke with did little else but yell at me and not allow me to speak.

thanks for listening
carla

So far, the only phone number I'm finding is the one listed on their website as 626-912-0668. It's also listed at the BBB, here. According to the BBB report, they've got a B-. Might have to get the BBB involved if they keep giving you issues. Or at least mention that next time you talk to them

It sounds like you have a legitimate issue. I've never had any problem with Meritline, but then again I've never had a problem. I've ordered a few times from them. I think that they're one of those companies that ships from Singapore. Interestingly, the last thing that I ordered (just a few days ago - a 3-way car lighter splitter) came USPS registered. I hadn't requested that it be sent that way, and it seemed a little over the top for a $5.99 item. Not to mention kind of a pain in the butt having to drive into town to the Post Office to sign for it.

If it were me, I would dispute the charge with the credit card company; once the chargeback arrives, they will be chasing you to resolve the issue.

That sounds like a very good idea. Don't wait another week before pursuing this option, I'm not sure what the time limit is for disputes, but I doubt it's much longer than 30-60 days. Can someone verify/correct that?

Please send mail to order@Meritline.com with order details.

I have order 4 times to Meritline and received product in 3 -4 weeks times. My first order was delivered in 2 months time.
they ship from hongkong or singapore. Never give your first big order to Meritline unless you know about the company.

That's what Meritline said when I wanted to return a flakey (by design) SATA-PATA disk drive adapter. They simply refunded the $4 charge.

after all the difficulty trying to talk with an agent..i took your advice yesterday and filed with the bbb..so yesterday afternoon i got 3 voice mails and two emails with pretty much the same info..that the shippment was on its way and they would refund the 60.00 and some odd cents without having to wait a week or two for the post office to look into the matter. i was pleased.

i do not like having to do these things but the agents refused to talk to me. i probably will continue to shop there. i have received other orders from them however, one order did take about 6 weeks or so to get to me, at the time that i ordered it i did not take the time to notice that the item was coming from hong kong or whatever!!

thanks guys,
carla

Have you thought about trying a site like DealExtreme.com? They sell the same kinds of stuff that Meritline does at similar (maybe even lower) prices, but I've never had problems with them. They DO ship from Hong Kong but I've never had a shipment to the US take more than 2-2.5 weeks.

thanks for your reply. no, i have not checked out that site but i intend to this evening. i love going to new sites..i think that i need one of everything. it's great.

i really do not mind waiting for something from China or whatever...i guess my biggest prob. the the cx. service at Meritline.

i once needed a phone adaptor, well i found one at a good price at CellPhoneShop.com would you believe that it was at least 8 wks before i received that order? they did at least email me to let me know that customs was the hold up. that was their explanation anyway...but it still saved frustration. oh well..

thanks,
carla

I just wanted to follow up on an earlier post. For the 2nd time in a week I had to make the drive about 8 miles into town to the Post Office to sign for a $2.99 Meritline delivery. What's up with that? Maybe they're having some delivery issues (they are shipping USPS from Hong Kong, after all), but that seems like overkill to me. It's really making me think twice about using them again.

i understand your frustration and why you may consider it not worthwhile to spend more on gas than the cost of the item (unless it is a real bargin). Meritline is reshipping my order this time a signature is req. where there was none before.

yesterday i checked out a site someone at fatwallet (DealExtreme.com) suggested that is very much like Meritline. some of their things are cheaper while others are not. still pretty similar. they also ship from china. like i said, i do not really have a problem with that my problem with Meritline was the lack of customer service when i called to ask about my order that was paid for. i hope the DealExtreme has better cx. service if i should need it.

thanks for listening,
carla
