The ad for this offer stated that the backpack rewards would come in October. It appears that for standard rewards members that it will come with the 3rd quarter purchase reward that according to the terms of the program will be mailed within 30 days from the end of the 3rd quarter. The 3rd quarter ended September 30th.
At least some Premier rewards members, who are paid monthly not quarterly, are receiving the backpack rewards with their August payment.

I just checked because I was going to buy a a laptop and thought I would use the credit towards that but no I could not find it on my account. I need to send something UPS at the Staples store so I will ask, if not I to will be returing my backpack I haven't used it because I was waiting to see the credit. The offer sounded too good to be true. But we will see.

I went to the store today. They check the rebate and a check should be mailed the end of Oct. Hopefully we should receive it by the end of Nov at the latest. If not they said to call the 1-800 #. Nancy201

A lucky few premier members, myself included, received the backpack rewards payment with their August purchase rewards payments.
It seems everyone else will receive the backpack rewards payment with the 3rd quarter (standard) or September (premier) payment. According to the terms of the program, these payments can be mailed up to 30 days after the close of the rewards period.
Just make sure that the purchase of the backpack is reflect in the "Quarterly Transactions" or "Purchase History" of your Staples Rewards account.
I got my ink reward today and it reminded me of this as well. I still have the original store ad stating that the backpack reward would be paid in October. About one week left in October... waiting patiently for my reward (formerly but currently a non-premier member).
I haven't gotten my reward yet. Has everybody gotten theirs yet ? Anybody has a number for Staples rewards customer service.. i can't find one their web site

I didn't get my reward yet either (as a regular member) so I sent them an email through the website. A little ticked since I used the backpack for the first time last weekend (don't normally need a backpack since I carry my laptop, one time I wasn't) and it already tore! Cheap crap is only worth free, otherwise I'll return it to the store.

I called them today - They said they are mailing out another batch and I should get mine by Nov 11th.

Got mine. I had used $25 coupon and received full amount, ended up making $25 and a very nice free sharper image trolley backpack.

A friend of mine got hers back and she says its not a check but rather a vocher for store credit that expires by the end of the year. Did everyone else receive checks/those visa gift card things that are as good as cash. Mine is still on its way according to a Staples representative.

I received mine a couple of weeks ago. it was sent out as a paper rewards statement for $80 no mention of what it was for

I never got mine so I emailed Staples rewards CS. They replied after 4 days saying my order was not qualified. WHAT? I definitely ordered a qualified backpack.
