By now, we are all aware of the terribly inevitable encroachment of the "Christmas Creep". Month by month it tiptoes earlier and earlier into the year, the Christmas corals at Halmark in July, ornament discounts at Big Lots in August, and the ever so Kitschy blow-up lawn decorations displayed at Lowe's in September. Each year, the Christmas sales steadily inch closer and closer to last December. Sooner than later I fear we may be in state of perpetual Christmas.
It's not that I hate Christmas or great deals for that matter. It is quite the opposite in fact. It's just that I love Thanksgiving and Halloween as well and think that they deserve there time on the display end cap also. Just last week I was at the local Lowe's and I had to wade through a forest of fake Christmas trees just to get to the Halloween stuff.
So, I thought this might be a good place to gather "Christmas Creep" sightings. You can't find your mom a birthday card because the greeting card section has become overpopulated with sappy sparkle-y Christmas cards? Share your Christmas Creep spotting. Have a phobia about elves and thus haven't been able to enter your local shopping mall since July? Voice your discontentment.
Tell your tale, share your "Christmas Creep" photos.
A life-size, cauldron-stirring witch was sulking behind a display of artificial of Christmas trees this weekend at The Home Depot. That's just wrong. She should have the spotlight for just a little while longer.

I'll agree with that. Seriously, I want to see a photo of this! *poke* You now have homework
