American Express OPEN program for FedEx. WARNING in: Reviews

If you participate in the American Express OPEN program with FedEx - be VERY careful. FedEx is using the wrong merchant numbers to process their transactions with American Express . This will cost you around $2000.00 a year or more depending on your volume!!!

Basically, FedEx is only authorized to use three merchant numbers to process their transactions. If any is used other than these three they are considered "non conforming" and you will NOT get the 5% "OPEN Savings" (the one with the $1000.00 cap) -OR- the Cash Rebate (the rebate that is tiered (1%/5%/2%).

This is a VERY serious problem and FedEx corporate has no desire to fix the problem. They just blame American Express and the finger pointing goes around in circles.

I'm not sure where this should have been posted since it involves both FedEx and American Express ... but hope it will find the way to the right place.

Just got my latest AMEX bill . . . every Fedex shipment shows the correct 5% discount.
