Thanks for the reply. It isn't difficult to spend over $15 anywhere, but like I specified, it's not possible (at the places I've asked), to put $15 of a purchase on one card, and the rest on another.
droberts1982 said:Most places won't let you put some charges on one card and some on another. I personally have only found a few B&M stores that can't split a transaction across multiple payments.
Another idea is to buy a $15 store gift card. No need to split payment, nor worry about expiration date.
If you would have bothered to do some RESEARCH on here you could have found some easy solutions.
1. Go to your bank and request a $15 cash advance on the card. You'll get your $15 in cash and there are NO fees to do this.
2. If you buy something for $12 and have a $3 balance, the next time you use the card, let's say the total is $3.50, you pay 50 cents CASH first and the remaining $3.00 as credit and then you can get rid of the card and have no balance left over and not potentially lose or forget about it.
Who is it from? I had two Satpels cards that expired at the end of August. I tried using them on the last day in August but it was a no go. So I called. One was for $0.01 and the other had $2.99 on it. I was sent a check for $3.00. I really wanted that $0.01 check. If I had known they were going to send me a check I would have called twice. Moral of the story is sometimes you can get a check just by calling. Did it multiple times with Symantec cards.
Otherwise buy a wal-mawt gift card and shop like there is no tomorrow.

I've received several of these from various rebates -- e.g. Staples for one. They are usually a VISA-branded card. After reading the terms of use that came with the card, I went to my local bank and had them do a Cash Advance against the card for the full amount. No fee was deducted, and I got the full amount in cash to deposit to my bank. No problems.

I recently got a rebate card from McAfee. I called the 800 number on the back of the card and ask for a check. They say they can't send me a check. In the past, I have called to ge a check for Symantec's and Staples' rebate cards. But McAfee won't do it.
Has anyone have that problem with McAfee's debit card?

I had the same problem with my $65 Visa rebate card from Mcafee. I don't want to use their card because I want to get Cash Back on my purchases. I'm going to try to LetsGoMets1 suggestion to get a cash advance at my Bank of America. Does anyone know if BOA or Visa charges any fees?
