Ok, I am moving from Indianapolis to the Phoenix area for a job and need a good solution to move. I have a 1 br apt and some stuff in storage. Lets say it is a 2 br total. I have looked at penske and Uhaul. Total for penske was 995 for a 16 ft trailer and 1500 for uhaul with a 16ft and a car hauler. I imagine with penske it will be around 1200. No way to quote on their site. I will be moving at the end of Dec/beginning of Jan. It is flexible and we can move whenever in either month. Question I have for all of you is do you know of any discounts or other companies that will do it any cheaper? I know that AAA offers some discount, but not sure how much. Any help is much appreciated
Check past postings on FW. There have been several good threads about moving across the country in the past year. All sorts of options and experiences discussed.
The FW seach function isn't very good but go to yahoo or google and type in fatwallet.com plus your search term. Try a few different search terms to make sure you find everything. This should bring up some archived threads as well, which seem to be hard to get from the FW site itself.
