Fell for iPhone CNN Ad Scam - Advice?

So, I made the mistake of clicking on an ad while perusing the CNN website via my iPhone- a "mobilegameshow" link which asked some trivia questions. At the end, it asked for you to punch in your phone number to get your score. Instantly suspicious, especially due to the $14.99 for credits on the page, I hit the terms/conditions page and saw that indeed it was a scam which signed you up for a recurring $14.99/mo charge until a text to a certain number saying "STOP" was received.

Throughout the terms/conditions, I could not delineate whether just having clicked the ad and "played" the game was sufficient to sign me up. I did not punch in my phone number to get my score. My question is having clicked on the ad and played the game, would I have inadvertently already signed up for the service? I hesitate to simply text the STOP command to the listed number b/c I'm concerned that in itself is part of the scam - to somehow "get" my phone number.

Any advice? I know... foolish... I should not have clicked on what was apparently an ad and scam, even on the CNN website.

BTW - the site online is mobilegameshow.com

TIA for any useful replies.

I say contact them and ask just to make sure. support@mobilegameshow.com or call 1-866-617-399. If you were subscribed you can cancel using that email or phone number.

How can they charge you anything if you didn't provide your phone number or any other useful details?

You didn't give them your number so I don't see how they could of signed you up.
