So I was going through the mail today, throwing away the usual dreck they stuff my monthly bills with, when I happened to actually LOOK at the one in my Kohl's bill. ..... $10 gift, huh? ... Whoa, this is really $10 off $10! Look in your bills folks!
does this mean i should cancel my online only bill delivery? all over the place they encourage you to go paperless and then you miss out on goodies. that is plain dumb. thanks for alerting me to this.
I got a statement today which was a surprise since I haven't used Kohl's card in a couple of years. So of course I opened it to find out why they were sending me a statement. Got me a coupon

So does this mean if we don't carry a balance, they will send a coupon anyways? I haven't shopped there for a few months.
Both my wife and I have accounts. She with $0 charges/balance gets the ten bucks. I with charges get nothing. I guess they just want to get the non-shoppers back in the store.

Guess Kohl's does not like it that I ONLY shop sales & clearance and then ONLY w/ their coupon when it is 20% off/better.
I'm in that bucket too..haven't received my paper bill yet, but I'm not holding out much hope, lol....

Wife does same, purchase sale and clearance and uses the 20% or 30%, but we received one in our last month's statement. So don't give up hope . So much for rewarding folks who do ebill.
Ugh, you just reminded me that I had about $30 of Kohl's Cash that expired. Happened to me twice already. And BOY do I need some new Dockers... (they shrunk, I swear I didn't put on any weight).

I shop like you and got a $10 off $75 purchase last month with my bill. I ended up buying some stuff just to get to $75.00 and then returned it because it was stuff I did not need... sometimes coupons are not good to get....

me too! I normally go paperless, but I left Target paper bill because sometimes they have coupons, but didn't think of Kohl's. Might have to cancel paperless for that too!

just sent a message to customer service asking why paperless customers get left out like this. we save trees, and a good deal of $ for the company by eliminating postage and handling of all that paper! will be interesting to see their reply, if one ever comes. will report back.

You look fine to me!
I had one of those $10 off $10 coupons Kohl's sends in the mail and it had expired two weeks before. I took it to the store and when buying a pair of jeans asked the girl if I could still use the coupon. She said sure and took $10 off the bill. Happened about six months ago and they keep sending me one every couple of months. Just to get me in the store, I guess.
I have been"trying" to deal w/Kohl's customer service over this issue since 10/25 but insisted in my original email complaint that I wanted a response from marketing NOT a customer service peon who could do didly.
Guess what: I have had 2 responses: all from customer service peons.
Net Result: I have returned >$60 in items purchased over the last 3 months. I will NOT be discriminated like this simply because I am a careful shopper. I do NOT need the blouse and the $50 in toys are just as cheap at Target & WalMart. In fact, there is a Target in the same mall near work so I am not wasting any gas. Yes, I have spent the time to do the return to Kohl's and repurchase at Target but that will NOT happen again.
I do NOT need Kohl's. I work WAAAY to hard for my $$$ to be cheated like this. Kohl's needs MY business and they are NOT going to get any more until they treat me as well as their other customers.

My wife and I didn't get the $10 off coupon in our bill either. I assume that it was targeted in some fashion. If you don't like the fact that companies target offers to certain customers, then you're going to be very limited in who you can do business with.
I get all sorts of targeted offers from companies I haven't done business with in a while, giving me a discount to try them again. Jewel sends us coupons that are in different denominations from what our neighbors get, because they know our typical grocery bill and want us to stretch a little bit to use the coupons. I won't even go into how much targeting of offers banks and CC companies do.
While I'd like the coupon as much as the next customer, I don't feel "cheated" because I wasn't included in a targeted promotion. My wife and I have gotten enough incredible deals from them that we're hardly going to boycott them over $10.
Incidentally, do you also feel that they "cheat" you every time they send you an "up to 30%" peel-off coupon, but it's for less than 30% off?

I do get paper bills. I got NOTHING in my bill. I have been in email contact w/customer service for about 3 weeks now and it is VERY apparent they cannot/will not read or actually respond to my real issue. As a result, because I feel that as a bargain hunting customer I am being discriminated against,I have returned about $60 in merchandise and cut up & returned my Kohl's cc.
I do NOT need Kohl's. there are TONS of shopping choices in my area from Target/WalMart/Kmart to high end stores like Bloomingdales and Nordstroms. Why should I waste my time on a store that CLEARLY is not interested in obtaining my very hard earned $$.
