Trick or Treating for Halloween is lots of fun, but too much of a good thing can be bad for your health. In and of itself candy is not bad, but in the large quantities consumed at Halloween, serious harm can result, both in the form of dental decay as well as in contributing to the growing problem of childhood obesity and the onset of medical conditions such as diabetes.

To help parents encourage their children to eat and consume fewer sugary treats, These Dentist offices will pay you to buy-back your candy and will be donated to several charity agencies including our service men and women overseas to provide them with treats that will remind them of home and to thank them for their service to our country.
The Buy-Back Candy program is available to anyone whether or or not your a patient.

Listed below are just a few Dentists taking part in this program, Their sources were taken off of newsmedia webpages off the internet, To find out which dental offices are participating in this program please go to the website near the bottom of this page.

OK, so where can we get cheap candy (under $2/lb or preferably under $1/lb)?

you dress up and go out to all of your nieghbors houses on Sat evening

Or just wait until Target has its Halloween merchandise 90% off - probably a week from now..

is there a limit on the poundage?

Is this cash? or check?
Any limits?

Each dentists have their own limits on pounds, cash, etc. On the website contact their email and phone for that info.

To each his own, but I find this in poor taste. I love finding deals on this website, but it's one thing to cut into a big corporation's profit margins. It's another thing to take advantage of your local dentist who's trying to help charities, our service men and women, and your community's children.

dentists are really doing this for the good of the community. please don't screw them over.

if they were like all you folk, they'd give out free candy, get people rotting teeth which would require a visit to their office. notice how they are NOT doing this...

Go threw the candy--separate out the crap candy corn, individual peanut butter kisses, etc.

Haul that to the dentist, then go buy the 50-75% off good stuff the next day.

I think the dentist's can afford to "give" to charities without taking kid's candy.
You should see the offices our have. Geez!

But they won't
we all can afford to give charity but we don't unless for tax exemption

I'm no big fan of dentists, but how do you know they don't normally donate and these efforts are on top of their normal ones?

I agree that this is a marketing ploy, but still there is no reason to abuse it. It's not like dentists make millions.

You are more likely to get a cavity from eating a pretzel than you are from eating sugar.
