What happened to referral thread? in: General Discussion

There was a thread about deals with referral links. What happened to it? I can't find it. Anyways, I just want to know if we can post deals with referral links? I have a hot deal but I am afraid it might violate the policies. Mods please enlighten me.

We have discussed it and asked for community input, but for now referrals aren't allowed.
