I just noticed on the Verizon site that starting tomorrow - November 15 - and lasting until December 14 Verizon will extend their return privileges through January 13, 2010.

What this means is that if you bought a new phone on November 15 you'd have a full 60 day return period (as opposed to the normal 30). All other terms and conditions apply. Seems like a good deal for anyone interested in the Droid or Eris but concerned about when/if a promised patch may occur.
November 15, 2009 - and running through December 14 Verizon is increasing their normal 30 day return policy

I think almost every store does this starting Thanksgiving.

I was in a Verizon store yesterday (Emeryville, CA) and the representative didn't know anything about this. He even brought up a couple receipts from people who had purchased phones yesterday which all had the 30 day terms, not the 60 day terms. I also couldn't find this promotion anywhere on the verizon site. The return policy still seems to be 30 days here

Anyone had any luck with this?
