Does anyone know of stores that allow this? Buying before BF and then just bringing your receipt to customer service on BF to get the deal price... (I tried searching for this topic but didn't find it here - sorry if it's been discussed already...)
Highly doubtful. BF deals are good until they run out and usually only on that day. Probably some stipulations that prevent people doing what you are planning.
On top of that, I believe even stores that normally price match don't often price match Black Friday deals. I recall Best Buy is known for not price-matching BF deals in particular.
Some people have gotten away with it in years past, but it's very store-dependent and cashier-dependent. I think the chances of being able to price adjust are very slim, as more and more stores are making policies specifically to forbid the return/rebuy or price adjustment issue. If you really want something, you'll need to fight the crowds or try to get it online.
It is no for FRYs. I was there yesterday and asked the same question. As per the associate, they have price match gurantee for 30 days but BF is not included.
Depends on store. I successfully did this with Office Depot for Logitech mouse last year. Also, I tried the same with WalMart (digital frame), however it turned out to be wrong model. So, the store manager brought us the item out of turn

Some retailers also get special product in that has a different SKU than the one that you can buy off the shelf right now. That makes it a "different" item if they even let you try to PM. It's also a pain when a customer grabs the old product (looks just like the one in the ad but without the special SKU) and it rings up full price. Confusion city. OT: I know its a nightmare when the leftovers get converted to the old SKU...inventory problems out the wazoo. I know cause I spent a long time, several years in a row, trying to balance the books after the switch.

Sears specifically stated that they will honor the price match policy for BF as well, as long as you get there in line within the promo duration. For eg, if the item is a doorbuster, and went from 100 to 50 on BF, you'll have to get the price match done on BF within the doorbuster timings (usually 5am - 11am...).
Sears price protection is the name of this service, and I've double checked with two different CSR's over the phone. Only catch is that most of the things on sale at Sears on BF are not somehow available for purchase right now.. hope this helped...

I know K-Mart will NOT, I just bought a Christmas tree from there for $144.00 (on SALE) Now I see where it will be $79.99 on BF, I asked and they said no price match, So I said then I will return it and re-buy it for that sale! the reply was "no, it has to be a NEW one off the floor!!" HOW STUPID IS THAT???!!! NOT to worry! I will get around this damned issue even if I gotta be there at the butt crack of dawn to get another one!!(then they can have the other one back! Does K-mart WONDER why they suck so bad in the business?

Do consumers ever wonder why they suck so bad in the business? If you really were wanting to save money on a Christmas tree purchase, buy a coloring book for $0.50-$1.00 everyday price, crayons for $0.01 from OfficeMax BTS and push pins from Wal-Mart for $1.44. Kidding aside, the best time to buy a Christmas tree is after Christmas. Unless you have your heart set on a specific model, but then you wouldn't be focused on saving the most money on your purchases.
If you have the space, stock up for next year's holidays immediately after current holiday is over. For Christmas, why not just use Halloween candy that you bought marked down?
Why even buy anything but what you absolutely need to live (basic clothes, shelter, food) before Black Friday? If more consumers did this, the prices would fall even more for Black Friday.
To get back to topic, doesn't AMEX credit cards have a price match guarantee? What does that apply for? I doubt it would include Black Friday though.
