Any thoughts regarding Canon versus Nikon? I was thinking about getting the Canon for the autofocus on the video but I dunno...

In my humble opinion, Costco online has a super deal for a Nikon D5000, which includes two lenses, AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR (Image Stabilization), AND, AF-S DX VR Zoom-NIKKOR 55-200mm f/4-5.6G IF-ED (Image Stabilization).
Not to mention the deal includes a 4GB SD card, and a carrying case. All for $824.99 Link

Hi everyone! One quick mention, on every camera price I have checked, B&H camera has been lower than Amazon (except the used prices). For instance the Pentax K7 is ~$1,118 with the 18-55mm lens, then Pentax has $100 rebate for every lens purchase made with the K7 by Jan 15. Canon 50D $940 and $500 rebate when Canon Pro 900 printer purchased with it. AND B&H, if you check the forums is a reputable seller, purchases made through them are eligible for the rebates. AND they have the option for increased coverage for your equipment (against accidental damage, for instance). Free Shipping on most (if not all) DSLRs also.
