Hi, first post so go easy. I haven't seen anyone post about this and it seems like a pretty good deal. Not hot, but maybe warm?

So Amazon has the Asus ul80vt for $823.53 with a free $100 Amazon gift card making it $723.53.

Specs:
1.3GHz Intel SU7300 Core 2 Duo Processor
4GB of DDR3 RAM, 2 slots, 8GB Max
320GB SATA Hard Drive (5400 RPM), DVD Super Multi Drive
14" Widescreen HD LED LCD Display, NVidia G210M Graphics with 512MB DDR3 + Intel GMA 4500MHD (Switchable VGA), 0.3M Webcam, Wi-Fi 802.11 bgn
Windows 7 Home Premium Operating System (64 bit), *11.5 Hours of Battery Life

I was actually thinking of using the new macbook as a PC with its new $800 price at Microcenter. But then I saw this review of the UL80vt vs the new MacBook and it performs quite well head to head surprisingly. I honestly thought that the Core 2 Duo 2.26 processor would outperform the asus.

PCMark:
UL80vt: 3600
MacBook: 3691

Battery:
UL80vt: 9:17
MacBook: 5:10

3dMark:
UL80vt: 3463
MacBook: 2160

Most surprising is that the UL80vt has better graphics performance than the macbook. For those of you who were thinking of getting the macbook as a PC because of the price, I think this is a pretty good alternative. Same performance as a Macbook, but as a PC, and with a little extra battery life. Maybe not as refined as a macbook but at $723, seems like a pretty good deal?
