Get the best deals by using the Black Friday price match @ Wal-Mart. I am just sorting away by products that I want on that wonderful BF spreadsheet and praying that they AREN'T at Wal-Mart. Then I don't have to rush too much and I can just go and price match to my heart's content.
What are the "store specific" details though. What are the "restrictions apply?" If you go to a rural store with a sense of fairness I would bet that you wouldn't get absolutely screwed in the attempt.
Most stores don't price match on Black Friday. I don't shop at Wal-Mart, so I can't tell you with absolute certainty, but I'm pretty sure employees will be too busy (and annoyed that you would even try to take their time away from non PM'ing shoppers).
my point exactly. it is on the black friday WalMart ad that they will match. seems that WalMart is pulling out the stops.

The thing about Wal-Mart and most other places is they change their model numbers with an extra letter or two in the model name. They do this so they don't end up having to price match any of their competitors by indicating it's not the same product even though it is.
I alway price match on Black Friday at WalMart especially on DVDs and CDs and toys that they dont have on sale. If you check out at the front registars, they are to busy to worry about model numbers so as long as the box says the same thing on it as the ad they will match it (atleast I know the one by my house in Las Vegas does). Last year the lady who checked me out didn't care about what the ad price said so I was getting dvds that were supposed to be $7-9 for like $5 since it was easier for her that way.
Look for the very young girls or those over 60 or so to check out in front look out for the middle age, may be a manager from a dept they need all hands to run all the checkout lines (breaks lunch). If you know who is new, go straight to them, should sail straight through no problems.

WalMart will seriously price match on black fri? Target has the 340S tomtom for $97 and WalMart is the version under (325S) on their black fri. If I bring the ad I can get the 340S from WalMart for 97? seriously? I thought I would have to go to WalMart AND target that morning!

I got the black friday newsletter this morning from WalMart, one part of it said games like Carnival, Grand Theft Auto IV, Midnight Club, etc. would be $10 each Nov. 30
With this being the first time they've really advertised this policy, two things could possibly happen (I've taken advantage of Wal-Mart price-matching for years on BF and off) 1) items will sell-out, and/or 2) they won't stock items that are too hot of a deal elsewhere. If anybody notices things disappearing from the shelves before or on BF, please post here.
